If you don't have a bike, you can drive up to Fairholmes and rent one from here to cycle around the dams. They also have trailers to put your toddler, (or canine friend) in. Great fun

cycle hire and walks around amazing dams (where the Dambusters was filmed). Turn left out of Blackbrook Farm, drive around 7 miles along the A57, turn right immediately you are over Ladybower Bridge

10 min drive from Netherhust, take a left on the top road and then the first left. This leads you down to Derwent where you can hire bikes. This is a great cycle route and spectacular views for miles
