Arastradero is another great place to hike, it offers many more trails than "the dish" and all unpaved. It's less crowded at times than the dish and offers beautiful views and manageable trails for runnig/hiking. Dogs are allowed on leash.

Great hiking not far from 2090 -- this preserve is up Page Mill and you can park and do a 2 mile loop, or cross the street and do longer trips into the woods.
