Discover…. Tudor history brought to life (there’s a sandpit and games too!) Once a fine Tudor Manor, the Turret House and grounds at Sheffield Manor Lodge are now a great place for families and those with an interest in heritage to explore. The house was the home of George Talbot, 6th Earl of Shrewsbury and his wife Bess of Hardwick. Mary, Queen of Scots was held as a prisoner here in the 1570s and 1580s. There are animals on site to discover along with cafe and lots to see and do for all the family
