There are a couple of great water sports rental places right on the beach at Mengiat- Soft Top Surf Board Rentals, SUP Rentals, Snorkel/Masks/Fins Rentals, Surfing Instructors, Fishing and ETC... Great Place to have fun in the ocean!

If you want to surf Nusa Dua here is a great place to start from. Walk down to the beachfront and ask someone to be a captain. There will reliably be someone there from around 7am. They will take you out and back for 50.000Rp per person. Let them know what time you want to be picked up and they will be back on time reliably. Precisely where you surf is up to you. You can paddle out but it is a long paddle. Paddling in over the reef is pretty easy. Note the break is a long way out and it can be materially bigger than you might think.
