All along the East side of Central Park (which is a work of Art in it's own right and a must see!) there are Art Galleries and museums. At the top of my list is the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There is something for almost everyone. I love the serenity of the sculpture garden, and especially the Diana sculpture holding her bow and arrow. A little know secret. Admission is suggested which means you can pay whatever you can afford. If that's only a quarter than that's completely fine. Everyone has access to see amazing art.

Some of the best museums in the city are close by including the Guggenheim and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This stretch of 5th Avenue is home to 10 museums, starting with Museum of El Barrio on 104th street. Museum Mile includes Metropolitan and Guggenheim (ask your host for the membership card).
