Dartmouth staple, cafe with giant croissants - check out their Instagram for the weakly croissant flavour. They roast their own coffee. Baristas are well trained, they make a good cappuccino.
Upon opening in 2009, TIBS quickly became known for its baked goods -colossal croissants and super-sized scones are just the tip of the homespun iceberg. Neighbours and master roasters, Anchored Coffee, provide the epic brew. There is no shortage of love at TIBS.
They make these croissants. This large, buttery, totally over the top stunt croissants. They are a meal. They are excessive. They are worth the trip to try.

“Farmers market on Saturday morning 8-12 - there are many craft vendors, sweet treats & everything you need to cook your own farm to table feast. Visit Chirro for amazing hand made cheese - a master Italian cheese maker. Bakery stall has fantastic hand pies, brioche & baguette. The german bakery stall has amazing plum filled doughnuts & out of this world gluten free bread. Vessel Meats is own by a lady butcher - all local meat, amazing sausages. The Mennonites bring their 'no spray' produce every week, it's better then anything you find at the store. Their eggs are fantastic. We have the best apples in Nova Scotia, be sure to buy a bag & pick up a jug of fresh pressed cider from the Noggans store. Berries are especially good in the summer, many farmers bring them to the market, don't miss out. ”
