A smaller less know bay that is absolutely mesmerising for a swim at dawn. Park right on the beach in a dedicate area.

Gnejna bay is the closest beach to Mgarr. It is a nice sandy beach, very family-friendly and one can also find a kiosk and public convenience. There are plenty of parking spaces, although it does get quite busy on weekends. Getting there: By car - 5 min drive By bus - bus no. 101, leaves from Mgarr centre every hour between 9:30 - 20:30 By walk - 30 min (quite a steep uphill walk to get back to the village) For those looking for a bit of an adventure, you can walk to Lippija Tower, which is overlooking Gnejna bay, and go down to the beach from there. This should take no more than 45mins by walk.
