You do need a water craft, but even if you don't have one go rent a kayak! This pristine barrier beach which has its back side on the Seapuit River replete with magnificent mansions and bird life and fish and its front side on Samson's Island that faces Nantucket Sound is an experience not to be missed Families, boaters, swimmers and paddleboarders and kayakers abound. Access is from the town boat launching area off the West Bay Road Boat Launching Ramp . Follow the Channel Markers to Sampson's Island.It leads to the cut to Nantucket Sound.
