Nice playground, large field where lots of locals play with their dogs, and a free outdoor swimming pool during the summer. Check the chicago park district website for hours, lap swim daily.

Great park to take kids of all ages. There's a public swimming pool, baseball field, play frisbee, walk around the park. There's a smaller park near the pool for preschool age kids with swings and climbing gear. There's also 2 small gyms, with basketball nets and indoor activities. Directly across from Holsteini, going north is a smaller park, great for seniors to sit in the shade and enjoy the weather.
