There’s so much to do in Venice, it’s the kind of place where you’ll hop off your bike a lot. And it is really best visited by bike. I like to start by grabbing Gjelina’s takeout pizza, riding along Abbott Kinney and into the neighborhoods. Then I hop into beach path to people watch and see skaters shred the bowl. Wind down your biking day in Venice back at the beach. On weekend afternoon and evenings, you’ll hear drumming. Follow the sound, and at the end of Brooks Avenue, you’ll see dozens of strangers beating on drums, pots, pans, whatever—and dancing on the beach. It’s super communal, and anyone can join in.

I usually start on Washington Blvd, rent bikes at Perry’s and ride towards The Santa Monica Pier, as you’re riding back grab a beer at Big Deans…and ride a bit more where the Buskers and pop ups are you can walk your bike and enjoy the show of people and novelties, grab some food…
15 minutes away, Venice beach is a beautiful beach with the famous muscle beach, the boardwalk for souvenir shopping, and the beautiful Venice canals. A walk through the residential area with beautiful canals. Great place for family pictures with your loved ones.
This hip place is where you see beachgoers, people walking on the boardwalk, or just plain interesting people. Lots of people watching can be found.
The free-spirited Venice Boardwalk is the site of funky shops, street performers, and colorful murals. There’s also a skate park and Muscle Beach outdoor gym.

“Griffith Observatory sits on the south face of Mount Hollywood and overlooks the Los Angeles basin. Its location gives visitors impressive views of the surrounding area, which many rave about. But there's more than just a pretty photo-op here. The observatory hosts fascinating exhibitions and features a top-notch planetarium. Though the entry is free, you will have to pay between $3 and $7 to see the planetarium shows. Griffith Observatory is open from noon to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, with extended hours on weekends”
