My favorite breakfast place of all time. Don't go if you're claustrophobic. Open daily til 1, I believe. Get The Jose, with 2 eggs.

The parking and the sometimes wait is worth it to cram into this iconic Dinkytown establishment with great breakfast fare and atmosphere. OPEN 6AM EVERY DAY.

Al's Breakfast may be small, but there is a reason why the locals of Minneapolis wait in long lines to experience the breakfast and brunch. With a charming interior consisting of bar stools and Christmas lights on the walls, it's not hard to fall in love with the warm ambiance and food. Rich buttermilk pancakes studded with real blueberries, freshly made waffles and crispy hash browns are the definite favorites. This spot is perfect for early birds because by 10am there is a line outside of this small 15 seater restaurant.
