The bakery at Dam Square in Ullevål hageby has a story dating back to the early 1920s. The stove that is there, and is in use today, was built in 1929 and has seen several generations of bakers come and go. The square was named in 1918. Originally two ponds were built, built by Swedish prisoners of war in the period 1807 to 1814. Around 1920 a new dam with fountain was built and the buildings were set up in Nybarokk style. 5 min away by fot.

One of my favourite spots. Here you find a nice bakery with good coffee.

A nice walk from the flat, and your could either spend your entire budget by visiting the local foodstore (at least a visit inside it for tast of cheeses or chocolate nibbles is recommended), just a look around or spend the morning at the local bakery. Make sure you are not too hungry going into the bakery, its easy to fall into the trap of eating too much sweets.
