Wilderstein, 30 minutes south of Hudson, is the historic home of FDR’s cousin, and confidante, Margaret (Daisy) Suckley (she gave FDR his dog Fala). Unique site, excellent guided tour, and if you’re interested in FDR, very special.
Wilderstein is a Queen Anne Victorian home near the village of Rhinebeck. Spectacular Hudson River Views. House tours May through December. I don't miss destination when in the Hudson Valley
Wilderstein was the home of the Suckley family, cousins to the Roosevelts. It's charming and a great place to walk.

Lovely 19th century Queen Anne-style house of the family of Daisy Suckley, close friend and confidante of FDR. Tours available.
