Directly from Breglia! For those who love walking in the mountains, 2 hours of route lead to the Rifugio, the view is extraordinary. From the refuge you can reach the church of S.Amate or Monte Grona in 30 minutes: from here you can see Lake Como, Lake Lugano and the Alpine chain.

In the mountains above the town of Menaggio, at the foot of Monte Grona, is the Rifugio Menaggio, a place to eat, sleep, drink, relax, and recharge after a long hike. The Rifugio is not technically located in Menaggio, rather it is in the locality of Mason del Fedel in the municipality of Plesio. The Rifugio Menaggio offers some of the most unique and spectacular views of Lake Como. If you are and avid hiker visiting Menaggio and the sky is clear, you should not miss a hike up to this Rifugio.

You get there after a hike that, for experts, is easy, for beginners is a bit challenging but still doable. Food is not the best but the view is stunning and if you need more you can keep hiking.
