This location is 1 block from our Airbnb. It is fondly known as El Cruce De Veron. If you begin the short walk in the direction of Plaza Velero, you will pass the fruit stand where you can purchase fresh fruit. The vendor will happily cut the fruit up for you and place it in a to go box so that you can eat it on the spot. At El Cruce de Veron, there is also a gas station and a bank if you need to fill up your rental car or exchange money. Just past the gas station (Total), there is an empanada stand. You MUST try a Dominican empanada and a natural juice (my vote is Chinola) before you leave! If you cross the street from the Empanada stand, you can also catch the bus to Bavaro Beach.
