“Set in a stunning location overlooking a 23-acre Millpond, the Castle is one of the most architecturally diverse in Wales; from the west a Norman fortress, yet from the north a splendid Elizabethan mansion. The site also includes the only restored Tidal Mill in Wales, an 11th century Celtic cross, a Medieval bridge and picnic area all linked by a mile-long circular walk, suitable for buggies and wheelchairs, with magnificent views over the Millpond. 35 mins from Sutton. ”

“This place is def worth a visit. Turn up just in time for a guided free tour (last about 1 hour) and takes you through from the Norman invasion (1093) into West Wales right up to present day. This castle is a huge part of history in Pembrokeshire. Privately run - they also put on concerts on summer nights- check out website to see what they're latest is.”
