The Bird Cafe is another favorite artisanal restaurant on this stretch of coast. (although Sea Ranch Lodge is now putting up some stiff competition) Chef Aaron creates delectable dinners from fresh local ingredients. Open Thursday-Saturday. It’s a 15 minute drive north of here. I don’t recommend getting this food to-go. It doesn’t travel well. birdcafepa

Delicious food, intimate dining room. Small plates on Thursday and Friday and prix fixe supper club on Saturday. Cash or local check only! Reservations highly recommended.

It's a drive but The Bird Cafe has developed a massive local following for unique dishes and some claim world-class meals.

The Bird Café in Point Arena (on Main Street next to the theater) has really good food and extra-friendly service. It’s connected to our favorite dive-bar (Sign of the Whale) where the locals drink and play pool. (10 minute drive)

Menu varies weekly, depending upon the produce and meats made available by local farmers and ranchers. Bird runs weekly seafood specials that reflect the catches from our local pier and beyond. Requires a reservation.
