This is a 20 minute ride and a must see. The hiking is great all year round. You can hike to the top and bottom of the waterfall. The steps very difficult and if you are not conditioned or have a handicap, avoiding the stairs is recommended. The drive in is spectacular and the lake is beautiful.
The beauty of the Gorge is something that is a must see when you visit North Ga! Don’t miss out on a hike to the gorge floor but bring your strong hiking legs because its work to get there! Don’t worry though because they do have rim trails for those of you that just want to see the beauty from…
Beautiful state park with lots of waterfalls. To get to the sliding rock, you need a daily permit, and they are limited, so get there early.
