Club de jazz
“No Black Tie is hailed as Kuala Lumpur’s best jazz bar, hosting live performances by some of the region's most established musicians for the past decade. Situated along Jalan Mesui (a four-minute walk from Jalan Bukit Bintang), it exudes a laidback and casual vibe with local and visiting jazz performers playing to a sophisticated, respectful crowd. Besides jazz performances, this bar also features live bands that play genres from lively Brazilian beats to classic Chopin, as well as quirky poetry acts and readings by local authors on special nights. Also a good place for dinner and a show, No Black Tie’s food-and-beverage offerings leans towards Japanese starters with a variety of wine”

“Located in NU Sentral mall, Peranakan Place makes it presence known with a colourful exterior of dip-dyed glass and antique porcelain stools. Despite its vibrant exterior, this place serves up the epitome of simple and homely comfort Peranakan or Nyonya food. Give their Nasi Goreng Ayam Berempah (Fried Rice with Spiced Chicken) or Nyonya Platter a try. If you like something basic yet delicious, go for their Pineapple Fried Rice - you can't go wrong with that! Minutes walk from our unit.”

“Located at the same coffee shop as Moorthy’s, Peter’s is one of the most well-known pork noodle stalls in Klang Valley. This stall in Brickfields has been around for 35 years. The cooking is done by Peter himself. A bowl of pork noodles comes with lots of ingredients, including minced meat, pork slices, pork liver, pork lard and vegetables. Add an additional soft boiled egg with a runny egg yolk to enhance the taste of the soup!”
