If you're looking for a much quieter beach still with great surfing opportunities then head to Scarbs. The short 15 minute drive is absolutely beautiful. Great spot to take your shoes off and unwind.

Favoured by wind and kite surfers, this is a stunning sandy beach. Take a walk on the soft white sand, look for beautiful shells or sit on the rocks, watching the waves.

Scarborough beach (Atlantic Ocean) - Easy parking. Enjoy a walk along this beautiful beach and take in the views of the rugged, Atlantic coastline. Take a layer (fleece/jumper) While in Scarborough, call into the Whole Earth Cafe or The Hub for tasty, veggie snacks.
