We locals like to go up to the river behind the Zoo (an area called the fly) & sit & watch the sunset on the Mississippi River.
Audubon Park is located uptown, across the street from Tulane and Loyola Universities. It's easily accessible by the St. Charles Streetcar. You can also access the Audubon Zoo by walking through the park toward Magazine St.

Gorgeous park, amazing ancient live oaks, broad green spaces, lovely biking/walking loop
Beautiful tree-lined park with walking circle. Feed the ducks, play a round of golf, have a snow ball. Enjoy nature!
