Very nice nature interpretive centre. Excellent for families and a great rainy-day activity for all.

Awesome destination to see the 3D map of the area, buy eco friendly books. They also have a kids program in summer - Lagoonies - usually on Saturdays 10-2. They also run the Earthfair bookstore in Madeira Park.

“300 steps from your suite: walk down the driveway, turn left and walk down Godkin, continue onto the cult-de-sac (Orca Road). You’ll see a sign for Daniel Point Park. There is a fairly steep trail with stone steps. Step down with care and you will be rewarded with a 3.6-acre peninsula park: walk to the very end of it and right down to the sea. If it’s windy on one side, try the other; there are many seaside places to hang out here. This is probably one of the quietest and most beautiful parks on the Coast. There are no facilities available. Lowtide offers tide pools on the rocks to explore and pink starfish; seals frequently hang out just offshore and eagles frequently fly overhead.”

“10-minute drive, BEST LAKE FOR SMALL CHILDREN; warmer than Garden Bay or Hotel Lakes and it’s off the road so children can play by the lake. GOOD SWIMMING This picturesque lake is a popular swimming spot, particularly for children, as this lake is usually the warmest in the area. ”
