Wineries! This place is less than an hour away. It’s a gold mining town... and like Ellijay, has its own area wineries. Between Ellijay and Dahlonega, you have the NAPA valley of GA. It easily rivals NAPA in every way.
Great place to spend a day, shopping on the square, and panning for Gold at the Goldmine. Amicalola Falls State Park is close by also! About a 70 minute drive from the Chalet, be warned that it is a curving drive!
