Family friendly and free, wonderful range of animals and the cutest Meerkats. The gardens are beautiful with BBQ areas and playgrounds

The gardens offer loads of walking tracks, ducks and turtles to feed, a playground and a free zoo. A cafe on site offers casual dining options.

The zoo and the botanical gardens are adjoining and with free access its a really lovely spot for picnics, plays, nature and more

Rockhampton Botanic Garden is one of the oldest and most established public gardens in Australia and has been heritage-listed since 1999. Today the gardens retain their historical significance with a number of iconic plantings including the 150 year old canopy Banyan figs and avenue of Bunya pines. The gardens are also home to The Central Queensland War Memorial. Refreshments are available at the Gardens Tearooms which are nestled under the canopy of the 150 year old Banyan Fig Trees.
