Cottage in Traditional Cork Forest

Converted Shepherds Cottage in Traditional Cork Forest, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen & private terrace and a family shared swimming pool is available. Situated in beautiful countryside of cork trees, olive groves and vineyards, on the foothills of the Serra D’ Ossa 20 km south of Estremoz. Ideal for sight seeing in a scenic and historic part of Portugal and within easy reach by motorway of Lisbon (2 hours) and Spain (1 hour). There are a myriad of activities to enjoy on the farm. For the walkers or mountain bikers there are kilometers of footpaths around the 540 hectare farm for you to explore and for those wishing to venture further afield, the nearby peaks offer unrivalled views of the surrounding countryside. Serra d’Ossa lies at 500 metres above sea level and boasting one of the driest climates in Europe. The absence of light pollution makes this an astronomers’ paradise. Twitchers can enjoy seeking out over 70 species of birds in the unique habitat provided by the cork forest, several of our past guests are members of the RSPB and have made lists of the birds they have seen / heard. Here is a list of a few: White Stork, Booted Eagle, Red Kite, Kestrel, Cuckoo, Tawny Owl, Hoopoe, Red-Rumped Swallow, Great Bustard, Little Bustard and Bee Eater. Visitors to the local damn include black winged stilts and the occasional avocet. Very occasionally, bustards can be seen in the lower plains. Within a one-hour drive from the farm, you can also explore nearby towns including Evora (a UNESCO World Heritage site), Estremoz famed for its Saturday morning market, Vila Viçosa with its two royal palaces, Reguengos and even neighbouring Spain. Historical tours of Evora can also be arranged through a private guide. Vineyards : While predominantly a hilly cork forest , a vineyard has recently been planted in an open valley producing Alicante Bouschet, Aragonêz, Touriga Nactional and Syrah quality grapes. Most of the grapes are sold; however a selection of the best quality grapes are retained for the production of a high quality red wine sold in Portugal under the Cem Reis label, and in the Netherlands under the Het Tientje name. This wine has been awarded silver medals in Wine Masters Challenge (Portugal), Mundus Vini (Germany), and Challenge Du Vin (France). Next year a white wine will also be produced from viognier grapes. Our wine and some products are available for purchase onsite.

The house is a fantastic base to visit the ancient cities of LaRaya Luso, marvel at the authentic Spanish and Portugese folklore, hike trough the surrounding wilderness and numerous megalithic remains and menhirs. And not last, also to just relax and enjoy the scenery with and birds flying over while having a local wine and some tapas. Welcome!

En el corazón de la Parte Antigua y con la Muralla Almohade del S.XII como fachada principal, es un privilegiado reducto de paz, equipado con todas las comodidades necesarias para hacer de vuestra estancia en Cáceres una experiencia inolvidable. Tapada da Raia has 35 acres of land, in the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede (being the last Portuguese house, because it is bordered to Spain). For years it served as an anti-stress refuge for the family, who today decided to open the doors for those who want to spend relaxing days in the nature. The rustic-style house features the necessary amenities for an invigorating holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where even time seems to take longer to pass. Hope you like it!

La casa está dividida en dos plantas completamente independientes separadas por una escalera exterior que da acceso a vuestro alojamiento y la piscina. El acceso a la parcela y las zonas exteriores son compartidas, y estaremos encantados de teneros tan cerca, pero al mismo tiempo, con toda la intimidad de estar en plantas distintas e independientes

Private Country House (Exclusive Pool) - Marvão

Casa dos Galegos combines traditional architecture with a modern layout. It is located in the village of Galegos, right in the heart of the São Mamede Natural Park, in the Alto Alentejo region, just 11 km from the villages of Marvão and Castelo de Vide. It features a wood pellet stove for winter and a private outdoor pool for summer. It is the ideal place to take a break and relax, with the perfect balance of being close to everything yet far enough away at the same time.

A CASA DE CIMA está integrada na Herdade do Burrazeiro. Trata-se de uma casa independente, rodeada de pastagens em montado de sobreiros e azinheiras. Do alpendre da casa pode desfrutar da tranquilidade da paisagem do montado alentejano. Limpeza final incluída. Incluída limpezas com mudança de roupa a cada sete dias. Limpezas extra podem ser efetuadas a pedido. Por favor tenha em atenção que o acesso à propriedade é feito via uma estrada de terra com cerca de 2km.

Atravessado pelo rio Sever e uma ribeira que convida a banhos refrescantes pelas suas inúmeras quedas de água. Dispõe ainda de duas verdadeiras piscinas naturais, antigos tanques de rega reaproveitados.

Stairway to the Castle

Située dans le village historique de Monsanto, le village le plus portugais du Portugal, la maison a été récupérée d'une ancienne maison en pierre, créant une atmosphère rustique, avec le confort d'une maison actuelle. Étant au milieu du village, nous rencontrons facilement les voisins, entendons les oiseaux ou continuons à grimper jusqu'au Château (puisque la maison est sur le chemin du Château).Accès voiture interdit (parking à 200 mètres)
