The Woodwork Shop - The Mast Farm Inn

Located at the Mast Farm Inn, The Woodwork Shop is a character-filled one-and-a-half-story structure with 2 queen beds, a loft, separate sitting area with wet bar, small refrigerator, a Vermont Castings stove with gas logs, and an antique claw-foot tub for soaking is set behind a screen in the back corner. The Woodwork Shop has a floor plan which is suitable for small families, and is separated from The Blacksmith Shop by a breezeway – making it great for families traveling together!

Come enjoy a quiet getaway in a private suite on our 15 acre property in Banner Elk. Perched on a hilltop surrounded by beautiful trees. Only 4 minutes to town of Banner Elk. Also close to Lee’s McRae, Beech & Sugar Mtns., Grandfather Mtn., Linville & Boone. Enjoy hiking, mountain biking, wineries, breweries, and more. We have a new Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster in town that is fun for all ages. I’m always happy to help navigate activities, hikes, restaurants, etc. for you anytime.

The Loom House - The Mast Farm Inn

The Loom House is the oldest inhabitable cabin in North Carolina. Located at the Mast Farm Inn the Loom house was the original cabin built by Mast settlement in 1810. It has been transformed into a romantic cabin for two with modern conveniences. Downstairs in the living area is a massage tub and a fireplace with a wet bar is nearby. A cozy bedroom with king bed and a small bath are upstairs. The private porch, with its own rockers, faces the farmhouse. The cabin is air-conditioned.

The downstairs is one large open area with a queen & sitting area. A Vermont Castings stove with gas logs is in a corner of the cottage. A antique tub and twin bed is in the loft. The rock terrace and waterfall outside your door provides a private outdoor sitting area.

The Little Room in the Red Cottage at our Valle Crucis bed and breakfast, Taylor House Inn, has its own delightful charm. The large window gives you a view of the old historical barn of the Valle. The access to its private entrance is through the flower garden and is independent from the Red Cottage.
