Wizard's LOTR Cottage and Treehouse! Pet Friendly!

Our LOTR-themed Wizard's Cottage, along with our LOTR Stargazer treehouse, are on 2+ acres, & have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." Our home is about 200 ft. from the Cottage & far from Stargazer (back of the acreage). Greenery provides privacy. Enjoy our hot tub & Mordor -(dare to open the "Mor Do[o]r")! We are solidly in farm country; 2 miles from lovely Cedar Lake; Soo Line Trail has hiking, biking & snowmobiling; park & bar in walking distance. Diversity is welcome.

Enjoy observing the many other critters here too — deer, ermine, otter, trumpeter swan, blue Herron, fox squirrels and more. This cabin is ideal for a getaway year round. Set in a peaceful, wooded, quiet bay on Horseshoe Lake on the Chain of Lakes. This cozy, inviting cabin has a gorgeous shoreline with a sandy beach, stunning sunset views, a dock that is perfect for fishing (or jumping in!), a raft to swim to, hammocks to lounge in, and a large bonfire area to end your day. Endless outdoor activities year round! This cabin has everything you need for a memorable, relaxing vacation! No detail has been overlooked.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Hand-hewn rock gas fireplace, massage chair, fully stocked modern kitchen, wifi, YouTube TV (local channels & espn) & streaming. Enjoy the gazebo & hot tub next to the cabin throughout the seasons. I live across the street & clean and sanitize, so I know it is done properly. Note: Optional (additional charge) game room available.
