We love our place on the Mendenhall River! Eagles, bears, deer, porcupine, and otters are common sights in the backyard while the soft rush of the glacier-fed stream provides a soothing background. We are located in the upper Mendenhall Valley, just a 5 minute drive from the Mendenhall Glacier & 3 minute walk to the Brotherhood Bridge trail which takes you into deep old forest almost immediately. The river is ever changing and always beautiful & peaceful. We are available, but don’t intrude.

Located on Douglas Island just across the Juneau-Douglas Bridge, you will get to enjoy watching the sun rise up behind Gastineau ridge, and fall asleep to the cruise ships lighting up the channel. Douglas Island offers an amazing Sandy Beach, hiking trails, and beautiful Alaskan views from every angle.

Situated in a wooded area with outdoor decks overlooking a pond, this home has the feel of a lodge retreat, yet is only five miles from the airport. Hiking trails are nearby and the Mendenhall Glacier is less than a mile away. A full kitchen, outdoor grill, and laundry facilities provide everything you need. You will have coffee and breakfast foods stocked as well as snacks to get you started. Feed the ducks from your deck overlooking our pond and enjoy outdoor dining.
