Eight minutes walk from York train station. With an eye for the unusual and attention to detail Royal College of Art graduates David and Anita have created the perfect, dreamy get-away. The apartment has been selected by Alistair Sawday's 'Special Places to Stay' (the first in York). This spacious apartment has been lovingly restored and styled by its artist owners and features their original artworks (paintings/lights). The apartment has solid oak flooring, antique Persian rugs and a combination of period French and contemporary designer furniture which contributes to the apartment's special character. A stunning set of 18th century chateau doors divide the living and bedrooms and provide the 'wow factor' of this charming find. A welcome basket of Prosecco or red or white wine and olives as well as breakfast provisions to be found in the kitchen; Artisan bread, butter, preserves, cereals, milk, free-range eggs, fresh fruit juice, Marmite, Betty's/Yorkshire tea and ground coffee. *FREE WI-FI* and *FREE PARKING*. 'Atelier 22 York' is situated in York's 'Cultural Quarter', a few minutes walk from the Yorkshire Museum, the Theatre Royal, York Art Gallery and the Minster. The city's top eateries are a stone's throw away : Roots, The Star Inn The City, Betty's, Skosh, Partisan, Le Cochon Aveugle, as well as numerous pubs and bars; a gentle stroll back home at night. The beautifully restored medieval buildings of Stonegate and the Shambles provide the perfect setting for some last minute shopping. York's many attractions, including The Minster, Yorkshire Museum and Gardens, Treasures House, Fairfax House, Castle Museum, National Railway Museum, City Walls, Theatre Royal, City Screen Cinema, Betty's famous Tea Rooms are all 5-10 minutes walk away as well as beautiful riverside walks and restaurants, pubs and bars too numerous to mention. The Studio, near Stokesley

Our self-contained studio apartment has a shower room, store room, well equipped kitchen, superking bed ( Available as 2x3ft. singles if required), a terrace & garden overlooking open countryside with uninterrupted views of the Cleveland Hills & Captain Cook's Monument. It is a 3 min drive/15min walk to the bustling town of Stokesley where there are restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, supermarkets, take-aways, a weekly Friday market and a popular Farmers' Market on the 1st Saturday of the month.

Chequer Barn Apartment

An oak framed loft apartment is above a large garage which is accessed by stairs with a balcony for tree level seating. The space is not attached to our house and has separate access. The pitched roof gives the apartment a feeling of space and light, with underfloor heating. The outside space is ideal if you want some fresh air. We are in a rural location with no amenities, although the nearest village is only two miles away. We would welcome all visitors, but we don’t accept children.
