It is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway or rest from your visit to Waco & the Silo District (25 min), Baylor University (20 min), or Waco Surf (10 min).

We are conveniently located about 15 minutes from Magnolia Silos and other points of interest such as the Zoo, Dr. Pepper Museum, Baylor etc. No pets without special permission from host, however there is a $25.00 pet fee because of the extra cleanup. We have a queen size bed &futon for guests.

Can you imagine seeing these animals and/or a lake view sunset with a glass of wine while sitting in the hot tub. Neighbors are hidden by the woods and you can take short walks with trails, hills and creeks.

The German Schmear Cottage

The German Schmear Cottage is tucked away on a quiet street in the Mountainview area. It is centrally located (HEB, Target, and Starbucks are right down the road) and only 10-15 minutes from downtown, the Silos, and Baylor. Once a detached garage, this 400 square foot space is now a cozy, modern living space and is on the property of the main German Schmear (fixer upper) house, which is also a vacation rental. Dan’s Place - 14 miles to Baylor & Magnolia

3 bedroom 2 bath, 1500 sq foot cottage close to Tradinghouse Lake. The cottage was built in the late 1940's and was totally renovated in 2017. It is isolated with only one neighbor across the street and is very peaceful. It has a small pond that has a fountain, and is stocked with Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and catfish. Fishing poles and baits are provided. Small gatherings/parties are permitted. I have had several small weddings in the past.

This super clean 1 bedroom suite is spacious and quiet. Walk into your relaxing living room that is furnished with cozy furniture. A fully stocked kitchenette with full-sized refrigerator,toaster oven,coffee and tea station. The suite is part of a bigger house that is completely isolated with private entrances. The house is nestled in the large pecan trees with a full sized swing set. You can also enjoy the deck right outside your door.

Decorated by a licensed architect, this is a cozy two bed two bath farmhouse on 16+ acres. Enjoy the calm and seclusion of country life while being only twenty minutes away from conveniences of Waco.
