Footbridge Farm Cabin

Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

Historic Wykoff Jail Haus

Come explore the Historic Wykoff Jail Haus. The Jail Haus was built the late 1800’s and is owned by the city of Wykoff. Bike trails, trout fishing, Forestville State park, and cave exploration. There is kayaking and tubing 10 minutes away. Open over the winter months for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, hunting and other winter activities. Playgrounds, restaurants, convenience / gas station all within walking distance. Located 40 miles south of Rochester in a town of 450 people.

Woodland Retreat, Full private walkout lower level

Peaceful retreat down gravel driveway 15 min from Mayo Clinic. Enjoy your own apartment with private backyard walkout entrance to the lower level of our home. You will have a bedroom, living area, kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and toaster oven (no conventional stove/oven), bathroom w/ tub & shower, pingpong table, laundry, and patio with fire ring. You may hear piano music weekday afternoons, since I give lessons (usually 3-6 pm; a bit earlier in summer) NEW HEATED FLOORS w/thermostat

This private cottage sits on a 43 acre property, has a King sz. bed, fireplace, kitchenette, large deck, fire pit and more! Enjoy the onsite wooded hiking trails, golf across the highway at Ferndale Golf Club, enjoy the SE Mn. biking trail or tube/canoe/kayak the Root River- both only 2 miles away. Snowmobilers-jump right on the trail from the property!

In the summer months there is also opportunity to camp, with 4 acres of luscious green space + some woodlands! Indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, and Traeger grill!

We are located about two miles north of Seed Savers, three miles from Winneshiek Wildberry Winery, seven miles from Luther College, nine miles from downtown Decorah, and 13 miles from Toppling Goliath.

Hygge House | A Cozy Guesthouse

The Hygge (pronounced hyoo·guh) House is a tiny taste of Scandinavia in Southeastern Minnesota. What is Hygge? In short, it's a Scandinavian way of living that focuses on hunkering down and creating a safe, comforting and warm place to while away.
