Just 20 minutes from Emporia, Hartford is a small town with a Library, bank, post office, coffee shop and gas station with pizza and sandwiches, most Saturday mornings (weather permitting) The Amish have baked goods available. And now we have a disc golf course in town! Like the outdoors this Cozy cabin is located just across the river from the Flint Hills National Wildlife refuge. Only a 2 min. walk to the Neosho River! Located in downtown Emporia's Art and Entertainment District where many major events are held. With-in walking distance of the Granada Theater and ESU. Ample free parking. Spacious accommodations are sure to please. This space is located in the lower level of a commercial office building that has recently been re-purposed as a guest friendly temp-stay unit with kitchenette. No need to worry when storms rumble through. Don't miss staying in "The Bunker" The safest place to stay.

Cozy home in town with country views.

Please read: I live in the home, so closets / dressers are full. It's not fancy, but cozy and loved. On the edge of town, you get amazing sunset views. This one-stop-sign town is 7-10 miles from Emporia, small, and friendly. You are just blocks away from an amazing restaurant (Rolling Hills) and bar (Harry and Lloyds) - both the best in Lyon County. There is a gas station, bank, and liquor store very close, as well. You are about 10 minutes from a Wal-Mart and fast food.

Right off Kansas scenic byway 56 in the Flint hills. Bring your tent, rv, or camper. You will be the only one there. This is a dry camp site 'no facilities'. On bluff creek which is mostly rocky, float on a raft or put your chairs in the water, there is a deep swimming hole '12 foot' deep, fishing allowed, there are Bass, Catfish, Gar, have campfires, close to historic Council Grove. Campsite is on the site of a former Atlas E missile silo well houses.
