Overlooking the Des Moines river, this inviting cottage offers the perfect getaway for a hunting retreat or girl’s weekend. Built in 1870 and thoughtfully restored in 2024, it offers a modern kitchen with an oversized island, spacious living room, and two cozy bedrooms with custom made barn doors. Situated in the heart of Keosauqua, you’ll be walking distance to restaurants, shops, and city park. Enjoy an afternoon fishing at Lake Sugema or exploring the historic Villages of Van Buren County.

Beautiful Riverview Studio- steps away from Depot

Enjoy an exclusive view of the River, the FM Train Depot and Old Fort Madison from this 2nd floor true-studio apt. The space has modern décor and all of the comforts of home. Railfans will enjoy the trains and river fans will enjoy the unique east-west river movement. There will be train sounds! The space comfortably sleeps two adults in its queen size Murphy bed. Our cabin is located right on the edge of Lacey-State Park, with two spacious bedrooms, fully furnished living room, kitchen and bath. Sit on the deck and watch the deer walk by, enjoy the peace and quiet, with plenty of space to park your boat and recreational vehicles. Downtown Keosauqua is less than half a mile and conveniently located near all that this quaint river town has to offer - dining, shopping, bars, trails, kayaking, fishing, hunting and so much more. Pets not allowed.

Charming Country Apartment above the Town Square

Cousins Airbnb is located on the square in Lancaster, MO. Lancaster was once the home of William P. Hall, known world wide for selling mules and horses. He housed circus animals in huge barns in Lancaster during winter. The apartment is above a small cafe. The private entrance is at the top of an iron staircase in the back The balcony at the top provides a peaceful resting place and view of the town. Parking is located in back, where there is a covered patio for your use.

Our swing fire gazebo is a great place to unwind. We are located in the famous rural Van Buren County that includes 11 villages - Specialty shops, dining, antiques, golfing & community pool. Lacey state park has many outdoor adventures - Lake Sugema, hunting, fishing & hiking in the forest.

River's Edge Cabin-Riverfront Acres/DISH/WiFi

This cabin is nestled by the bridge across from Pittsburgh, Iowa, just a few miles west of Keosauqua. Accommodations not only include the cabin, but also 1.5 acres of flat, riverfront land to play, relax and enjoy nature. A screened porch with seating overlooks the Des Moines river. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor fire ring. The amazing wildlife along the river is absolutely beautiful. If you enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing and nature, this is the cabin for you!

Cheerful Home Away From Home

This place will allow you the amenities of staying in a home like setting. You can’t get that at a hotel. Plenty of room, Wi-Fi, laundry, outside deck. One full bath and one half bath. Home Away From Home is how we want you to feel when you are staying here. There is an extra guest fee for every guest over 4. Due to allergies, we ask that you do not bring any pets into the home.

Our lovely 1870s cottage is the perfect place to stay during your visit to the historic villages of Van Buren County. Located just a few blocks from downtown Keosauqua and the Des Moines River it's an easy walk or a quick drive to everywhere in town. The cozy two-bedroom Bluebird Cottage is family and pet-friendly and offers covered parking and a quaint three-season porch.
