The Retreat Cabin on the Lake at Marmutt Woods

Our goal is rest and renewal for our guests so they return home ready to serve others and encouraged to spend regular time in prayer and God's Word. Relaxing is also a part of renewal so on-site activities and the surrounding communities offer plenty of recreation and tourism opportunities. Marmutt Woods is a place to step out of daily distractions to relax and refocus. Even if you are here primarily for some other reason, we hope you'll take advantage of the quiet time and provided materials.

Discover the Northwoods at our modern lake cabin. In summer, fish, kayak, swim or bring your boat for water skiing, & tubing fun! In winter, ice skate, fish or snowmobile across the frozen lakes. See a kaleidoscope of colors in fall or witness spring's vibrant green. Delight in roasting marshmallows, laughter, deep conversation, or quiet reflection around the fire pit, as you marvel at the starry night sky. Shady Shores is a beautiful year-round getaway destination you won't want to miss!

Cozy home features warm lighting & paint colors and creative Northwoods decorating with a modern touch. Amenities include high speed internet, stainless appliances, coffee maker, front load washer and dryer, streaming services/Apple TV, 3 flat screen TV's, 2 fireplaces , central AC and a high efficiency furnace. The home is situated on 4 wooded acres (not lakefront) off a well maintained gravel road. Very private. No neighbors in sight. Wildlife is abundant. Dogs are OK w/approval & fee.

The lake is not only great for fishing, but also perfect for cruising and/or watersports. This house is perfect for year round stays with close proximity to the UTV/snowmobile trails.
