Outdoor activity includes hammocks, swimming, boating (canoe, kayaks, john boat). For fishing we have boats, nets & fish-dressing station (bring poles & bait). About 13 miles from Palmyra and Monroe, nearest gas and groceries.

The Spruce House is a beautifully restored and fully updated 1930's style bungalow with all the modern amenities! The interior of the cozy home has been remodeled to meet all of your needs while traveling to Quincy. Located near Blessing Hospital and only four blocks from Quincy University's Q-Stadium, The Spruce House offers a beautiful kitchen, two bed rooms with king and queen beds, high-speed Wi-Fi, a spacious yard, off street parking and a wonderful and safe neighborhood. Located in the heart of the country, Oakbrook Akers Cabin is an absolute retreat! Relax on the many porches overlooking the lake, take time to meander to the docks to fish, enjoy s'mores over the stone fire pit or spend the evening at the grilling station in our covered patio. In the winter, tuck yourself away in the cozy cabin complete with a wood burner, having a movie or game night (with popcorn of course)! Built by my father, we hope you cherish your time spent here just as our family has.

Genevieve’s Federal House

This home is a fully restored 1 story Federal house, which you will have full access to. It is located close to the Mark Twain Boyhood Home, and right off Broadway. The house comes furnished with seating, furniture, and 2 Roku televisions. There are two bedrooms, one bathroom, a dining room, living room, and a kitchen. The home has central air conditioning and heating, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and a beautiful clawfoot cast-iron tub with shower. There is off street parking.
