Grandma's Guesthouse

BEAUTIFULLY REMODELED and only 15 minutes away from Elkins, West Virginia, where you can find the Gandy Dancer Theatre, Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Rail Road, and lots of fine dining. We are also about 20 minutes away from either Stuart's Park, or Kumbrabow State Park. You can hit the ski slopes of Snowshoe in about 45 minutes. Our house is very cozy, and our kitchen is fully furnished with everything you will need. From the coffee maker to pots & pans, we think you'll feel right at home.

River House: A Cozy Mountain Getaway

On the banks of The Greenbrier River at the base of Cheat Mountain in the old rail town of Durbin, is River House. A rustic, riverfront getaway just downstream from a WVDNR Trout Stock Point, beside the Mountain Rail WV Durbin Station, & 30 miles from Snowshoe. Nestled between WV's highest peaks & within minutes of our country’s best fishing, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, biking, skiing, hunting, Civil War Sites, & historic trains, River House is a perfect base for all WV has to offer.

CrossRoads Cottage B&B Wifi Available

CrossRoads Cottage, established in 2013, is a small cottage with 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, living room, tv room/bedroom and kitchen. Guests have the convenience of the entire house. Note: Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the cottage. Note: Price includes up to 4 guests at the cottage. Each additional guest will be $10 extra to accommodate for food, linens, and water useage. Note: There will be a $250 fee for smoking and/or pet violations

This is a beautiful property and is centrally located close to Davis, Thomas and Canaan Valley's most famous attractions. Witness the sunrises and sunsets over the mountains from the balcony, take a dip in the heated seasonal pool, get cozy and warm next to the wood fireplace (free firewood included), cook a delicious meal on the outdoor grill, and end the day toasting from the balcony and cuddled by the fire. You're only a few minutes from all the major sites and attractions in the area.

The cottage in the woods is the perfect place to relax and unwind, or use as a base to explore the more than 20 attractions just a day trip away! Has all the comforts of home, while enjoying privacy and quiet with no visible neighbors. Newly painted interior in 2023. We offer good cell phone service, WiFi and TV with HULU. Stay in the masterfully crafted Lemuel Chenoweth homestead along the rippling Tygart river. Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more. We do not offer a TV. Near Elkins.
