The cabins are private and do not share any common spaces. The cabin is located on US 31, which makes it convenient to travel anywhere in the area. This also allows for some road noise, although it is not noticeable inside the cabin.
Check out our guidebook for our favorite local sites & restaurants. The area is well known for biking, hiking, skiing, and of course the pristine beaches of Lake Michigan's west coast. The historic Victorian town of Manistee is only 10 minutes away. The Manistee River walk is also a popular destination for tourists and locals, as it follows the river through downtown from Manistee Lake to Lake Michigan. Ludington is a popular destination for families. There is a convenience store and gas station one mile south of the cabins. Grocery stores can be found in Manistee and Ludington. Our guests love to explore the area during the day and come back and relax by the fire in the evening.

Our home has a great location in the lovely and historical city of Manistee. The house is ready to host a group or family of up to 10 people. You will be less than a mile away from the beautiful 5th Avenue Beach, Maple Street Drawbridge and Historic Downtown Manistee. Special Perks include: - Plenty of Available Street Parking - 2 Car Garage - Free to Use Bikes with Locks and a Basket - Fenced yard - Lighted patio with chairs
This home was built in 1900 at the height of Manistee's growth. It was renovated with a modern flare in July 2018 with the purpose to be a vacation house where people can take in what this lovely town has to offer. There is more than enough floor space for a large group to spend time together and sleep comfortably. The table has extensions and extra chairs to seat 10 people together, although a smaller family will feel comfortable too. The high ceilings on the upper floor give the bedrooms a very up-scale feel. All the bedrooms, landing and living room area have brand new furniture. You even have a place to put bikes, cars, beach gear, etc with included 2 car garage. The best part is that you can walk or use the bikes to get to 5th Avenue Beach which has access to the lighthouse, the beach house and free parking. You can also cross the Maple Street Drawbridge to easily get to Historic Downtown Manistee.
This is a quiet and safe neighborhood with lots of normal residential housing around. You will feel a part of the community when you bike to the beach, downtown or just down the road to North Channel Brewing Company. There is easy access (less than 3 minutes) to restaurants, shopping, grocery, riverwalk and even a Saturday Farmer's Market in the summer.
  • Très spacieux et très propre. Beaucoup d'espace pour se déplacer. La cuisine est très agréable! Toutes les chambres étaient propres et agréables!

  • Grand espace bien aménagé pour 6-8 personnes.

    Rob2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

Lovey little cabin in the woods. Located at our KOA Campground with Pool, wifi, bathhouse and other amenities. Room for everyone and lots of activities ran in the summer.

Craftsman style, 2 bedroom cabin with large windows overlooking the designated "National Wild and Scenic" Pere Marquette River.
Craftsman style, 2 bedroom cabin with large windows overlooking the designated "National Wild and Scenic" Pere Marquette River. Peaceful and cozy craftsman style cabin in the woods overlooking the Pere Marquette river. Large windows on the riverside allow for a spectacular view of the river and lovely sunrises. The cabin has central AC and central heat, but there is NO TV or Internet/WiFi. The kitchen is well stocked with most cooking essentials. There is a tea kettle, various coffee pots, coffee bean grinder, dishes, pans, small refrigerator, and small functioning vintage stove. Freshly laundered bed linens, blankets and towels are provided. The town grocery store is conviently located less than a mile from the cabin. Both bedrooms have a full size mattresses. There is also a futon in the living room that could be used for additional guests. There is a 2 person tandem kayak, canoe and fishing poles are available at the cabin and are free for guest use. The burn ring by the river and a fire pit on the property that can be used for bonfires or roasting marshmallows. A door code enables guests to check themselves in after 3pm. We are available by text/email or phone during their stay if there any problems or questions. The cabin is located in Baldwin which is a small rural town that has very limited attractions or resturants, but makes for quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Cabin is located on Pere Marquette river which is a designated "National Wild and Scenic" river and is world renowned for excellent fishing for rainbow trout, brown trout and Steelhead. The river section directly in front of the cabin is open for fishing only during the last weekend in April to end of September (trout season). It is also a very popular river for canoes and kayakers since it is steady and considerably clear which is perfect for paddlers with basic skills. The cabin is located about a 2 minute drive from the closest 'open all year round' river location. The cabin is 1.5 hour drive from Traverse City (Wine tasting, beaches, cherry orchards) and/or Grand Rapids MI (Art prize, Fredrick Meijer sculpture Gardens). It is also 45 Min. drive from Ludington which has miles of public beach on Lake Michigan. Pleae note there is a approx. 50 yard walk from the driveway to the cabin. Smoking inside the cabin is not allowed. Pets are ok with the following considerations: no wet dogs in the cabin (most dogs love swimming in the river), no pets on the furniture and up to date flea control is appreciated. The cabin is located 3.5 miles from the start of the Pere Marquette Rail Trail which is a excellent mountain biking and hiking trail.
The cabin is located in Lake County which is over half state (Pere Marquette State Forest) and federal land (Manistee National Forest) with endless hiking opportunities. The cabin is located very close to the North Country National Scenic Trail. There are multiple sections of the North Country trail that allow mountain biking and also the Big M trail is nearby. The cabin is located near the small town of Baldwin which has very limited attractions and no notable restaurants therefore this is not the place to come for man made sightseeing that is nearby.

This secluded cabin is located in an old growth forest on the northern shore of Upper Hamlin Lake and is within a mile of the Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Preserve. The historic districts of Manistee and Ludington are a 25 minute drive in either direction. This artisan cabin was recently built by the hosts using cordwood construction techniques. Enjoy the 17 acre property that borders the Manistee National Forest and affords unique wildlife sightings, fishing, and hiking.
Open layout living and dining rooms with lofted ceiling. A modern kitchen that is fully equipped. Bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower. Master bedroom with full bed and large loft space with two twin beds with an optional queen Aerobed that can sleep additional guests. A modern rustic interior design. The woodwork was sourced from the building site, e.g., cherry trim and maple ceiling. Firewood is provided for the woodstove and can be supplemented by electric baseboard heating.
This is a secluded cabin from which no adjacent property homes can be seen. However, further down the private road there are a handful of neighboring cabins. Enjoy dock access to Upper Hamlin Lake which is ideal for kayaking, fishing, and bird watching. This lake is widely considered to be one of the premiere pan-fishing lakes in the state of Michigan. A stunning beach experience is just a short drive away at the Nordhouse Dunes, one of the longest stretches of preserved beach along Lake Michigan. "The most striking feature of this area is its undeveloped nature, most notably along the 4 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. Paralleling the shoreline are open dunes and forested bluffs, and skirting the edge of these is a foot path that at one time was called the Michigan Trail." -michigan trail maps

Summit Beach social is centrally located between Ludington, Pentwater, Sliver Lake and Hart Michigan....A Short walk to Bortell's Fisheries, and Summit beach. Nestled in the woods, with plenty of place to play. Snuggle up by the fire pit, roast marshmallows, and watch wildlife. Space available to pitch a tent or have friends bring in campers. This gem is just a skip to all the excitement. More shabby then chic, but perfect place to relax.
Two story living space with 4 twin beds, one full, and full size hide a bed. Cable TV and DVD player. Sleeps 8 room to have friends bring in a camper for a small fee. We carry shampoo, body wash, hand soap and Towels. Ludington is centrally located on the West Michigan lakeshore along the route of the Lake Michigan Circle Tour. This scenic harbor town is home port to the S.S. Badger Carferry, which crosses Lake Michigan daily during May-October. With Ludington situated at approximately the half way point along the Circle Tour, a carferry cruise across Lake Michigan provides a relaxing short cut for those who aren't able to complete the entire circle in one trip. Working on some upgrades.
Far enough away to feel like your alone, but close enough if you want to be social.

Recommanderais certainement!

I live in a 100-year-old bungalow. It's a wonderfully charming home that I love dearly and have chosen to share with you via Airbnb. Please keep in mind guest rooms are on the second floor. There is ONE shared bathroom on the main floor. It is not architecturally feasible to create another bathroom in the guest area. The bathroom is 100% sparkling clean 100% of the time. As is the common use kitchen except while in the act of cooking. Newly added indoor parking for your vehicle.
This 1920 Bungalow welcomes everyone. Friends, family, other guests have said they feel "safe" and loved in this home. As did I and this is the prime reason I purchased this home just a few years ago. I love entertaining and giving people that much-needed sense of calm in this busy time we all live in. My yard area has retro seating, a large deck with gas BBQ, and is always a work in progress. Gardening a new adventure. A few duds, but many happy comebacks.
Maxwelltown is a century old working-class neighborhood. On a clear day, you can see a freighter float by from my east-facing living room window. Manistee Lake is a highway of delivery to various corporations. Historic Painted Lady Saloon is just two short blocks to the west. Famed for its broasted chicken. Next door is Two Slices. Fresh daily made bread, sandwiches, soups, cookies & treats. If you have done any research on this vacation getaway you know there are several options for food, boutique breweries, ethnic choices or a Dairy Queen hot dog.

The Robin cottage is a traditional summer housekeeping cottage on the waterfront of Hamlin Lake. It's rented by the week, Saturday to Saturday. We are part of the historic Vacation Lane Cooperative. You'll enjoy swimming, fishing, lawn games, BBQing, campfires, lounging outdoors, and socializing with other guests. Bring your kayak, or canoe to launch at our small beach. Jet skis and boats. can be kept on their trailer on our property & launched at the South Bayou, just across the street.
Vacation Lane is a unique -step-back-in-time "resort" community of cottages. There is a large area of shared, common property where your kids can run free on the grounds, pitch horseshoes & corn hole, play volleyball, play on the small playground, and swim at the small beach area (with your supervision,) or enjoy the view of the lake from the screened-in porch. The Robin cottage is the other half of a duplex cottage: the Robin and Cardinal unit. My husband and I use the Cardinal side in the summer, and we love it! Our cottage was originally built in the 1930s. It is the oldest cabin on Vacation Lane, and the closest one to the lake. It's a great place for families and friends to gather, with a swim area, campfire pit, docks, play areas, picnic tables, and lots of places to just sit and relax. There is a common building, called, The Gathering Place, for rainy days with a ping-pong table and games. The Co-op rules state that after 10 PM, it is quiet time, so this is not a party place, but we welcome your daytime guests. The cottage is rented by the week only, June through August, for $850 per week, payment is required at the time of booking. It can be rented in May and September for $100 per night, with a 3-night minimum, or weekly for $700. Other cottages on the Vacation Lane property may be available to rent during the summer at the same time to accommodate larger groups requiring more lodging. Let us know if you'd like to inquire about these. We can help to coordinate this. Renters are not allowed to bring pets, sorry. Guests bring their own bed linens and towels.
Vacation Lane is friendly community of summer cottages. There are so many things to do in the summer in the area! Ludington State Park is right down the street, or across Hamlin Lake, and it has a beautiful beach and along the pristine shoreline of Lake Michigan, a light house, sand dunes, hiking trails, fishing, and kayaking, paddle board & canoe rentals. It's worth it to buy the season pass for $16, which is honored at all Michigan State Parks all year. Ludington is a beach-resort town with lots of shops, art, restaurants, and music. The best ice cream is found at The (famous) House of Flavors on Ludington Ave. If you want soft serve ice cream, the Dairy Creme, just down the street is a nice bike-ride destination. The Stix Bar across from the Dairy Creme is not the dive that it looks like from the outside. It's bright and cheery inside, it has a friendly atmosphere, the beer is cold, and the pizza is crunchy and tasty! Our favorite breakfast and lunch place is Chef John's Bakery & Cafe on W Filer St. All dishes are fresh and wholesome! The most authentic Italian pizza is at Luciano's right downtown. If you prefer a more Americanized style with a thick crust and generous toppings, the Chuck Wagon on Lakeshore Drive is the place to go. A really nice dinner with a view of the Ludington Marina can be had at P.M. Steamers on W Loomis Street. Almost every summer weekend there is an event in the city park, or on the city beach. You'll love the walk out to the light house on the 1/2-mile long pier at Stearn's Park! Be sure to catch sight of the huge car ferry steamer, the S.S. Badger as it arrives or departs the Port of Ludington, and watch a Lake Michigan sunset on one of the beaches. It's a real treat. The Maritime Museum on South Lakeshore Drive is a great rainy day activity. There is also the Children's Museum on Ludington Avenue just for the kids. The Historic White Pine Village in nearby Pere Marquette township is a longer fun outing. The reconstructed village gives you a good feel for the history, economy, and daily life of the area in the 1800s. You can charter a fishing boat on Lake Michigan, or rent a boat and jet skis at Hamlin Lake 2 doors up from us at the Waterside Resort and Boat Rental. Literature about the activities in the area will be in the cottage for you to peruse. In the off-season, it is very quiet and cool, so if you prefer a slower paced week, without crowds, choose May or September, for a reduced rate of $775 per week. The cottage is not winterized, but it is heated and supplied with blankets. For groceries and other supplies there are various cool stores and markets, near the downtown on Ludington Avenue. For bigger chain stores, including Walmart, Meijer, Lowes, and Aldi continue south, on Ludington Avenue, past downtown, on Route 10.

The building was originally Manistee National Bank. The recently renovated apartment is where the Bank offices were originally located. It sits on the Manistee River Walk. Guests have easy access to the River Walk for a nice stroll down to Lake Michigan. The building is centrally located in the downtown Historic District, steps away from local shopping, dining, and entertainment.
The recently renovated apartment is 1500 sq ft, has original hardwood floors and exposed brick walls, 11' ceilings, tons of natural lighting, and a beautiful back deck that overlooks the Manistee River. There are stairs leading up to the apartment from the street (pictured). The rear access is via a spiral staircase (pictured) on the patio that leads down to the lower levels of the building. There is one parking space located behind the building for your use.
