If you want to lose yourself in the beautiful countryside of North Wales, then our cottage is for you. We have created a haven of tranquility to return to after a busy day sightseeing or to hide away in and relax if that’s what you’re looking for. All the seasons are beautiful here, spring and summer and autumn with their vibrant colours, a time for exploration, and in winter you can enjoy the pure air and wrap up warm for exploring, or just simply cosy up inside our lovely, warm cottage.
The cottage is situated within the grounds of our smallholding. We have many animals here, all of which are friendly:- alpacas, ,llamas, peacocks, sheep, to name a few. If you are an animal lover and would like to meet our furry and woolly friends, then we would be happy to show you around.
This is a very rural area. We are surrounded by rolling hills. There are some stunning walks, most of which lead to a local country pub, where the food is excellent and the beer even better.

The Glade is a basic camping pod with double bed, sofa, fire pit and veranda in woodland high above the town of Llangollen with stunning views down the valley and across to the Castle. A quiet space to sit, watch nature and rest your legs at the end of the day. If drinking and loud music is your thing this may not be the place for you. The Hut is a steep 50m walk away from your car, so don't pack too much, you need to bring your own duvet/sleeping bags , we provide a bottom sheet and pillows.
The walk to the Glade is only to be undertaken by the hardiest of souls, it is STEEP, but once there, the solitude and views make up for it in every sense, the toilet block is a very strenuous 100 m away, so don't forget your tooth brush. You'll need a torch, good shoes and a camera It's quite likely you'll be joined by our Buzzards who regularly circle feet away from the Glade and if you sit still the rabbits and pheasants will undoubtedly come to join you. The Glade is shaded from the sun in the morning and insulated so you'll get to lie in without getting too warm or too cold. There is a fire pit, with an infinite supply of kindly. There are a number of piles of dead wood to use in the woodland, but we advise you buy a bag of logs from the hardware store in town, as you never quite know what the weather will be like in Wales and the wood may be wet! We have a toilet/shower block about 100 m away down the hill , with the centre of town only being a 7 min walk. If you don't have a vehicle and CAN'T bring your own duvet, let us know well in advance and we'll provide one for you.

  • Quelle jolie petite maison.

The private room is situated On the top floor of a building that dates back to Tudor times. It is right in the middle of town, so shops and local amenities, including the Castle, are all on the doorstep. There is no private parking, although car parks are very close by. You gain access to the flat by way of a flight of stairs. The room is very spacious and has one double bed. I will also provide tea & coffee facilities. It has a private bathroom with shower over the bath. (Shower only)

Barn converted in 2019! A cosy home with underfloor heating, woodburner, fully equipped kitchenette, private parking. 200m from steam train station, with a pub and canal just across the river. 1 mile from the centre of Llangollen which has many restaurants and activities.
Downstairs there is a hallway, living room with kitchenette, and a separate bathroom with shower. There is underfloor heating throughout the downstairs, a woodburner, and HD TV (currently no live TV but Netflix and other on-demand services available). Stairs lead up to the bedroom with king sized bed. Dog friendly. The barn has its own private driveway. The kitchenette has an oven/microwave, and fridge with freezer compartment. There is an outdoor plug which can be used to charge an electric car for a small additional charge (or type 1 7kW charger available at our house). We've listed it as not suitable for children due to the open staircase and fire, but please get in touch if you could like to bring a child. Early check-in or late check-out is usually fine if we don't have an immediate booking, please get in touch first to check.
We love being just a mile out out of Llangollen meaning we have easy access to town but it's a lot less busy. The Chainbridge pub is a 5 minute walk away and you'll hear the steam train chugging past! The barn is on a quiet lane, but does look over the A5 so you may get some road noise, especially if you have the windows open. Our post code is LL20 8AL.

A cosy, quirky, quaint, clean and comfortable self-contained barn conversion on first floor and accessed via outside stone steps in courtyard of old farm buildings. Located five minutes from A55 and adjacent to Halkyn Mountain, an ideal touring base for exploring our local area and beyond, great pubs and restaurants, theatres, market towns, the beaches and castles of Wales Coast/Snowdonia or Chester/Liverpool. It is very small, but fully equipped with modern facilities with character features.

Escape the rat race.....come and unwind........a warm welcome awaits you at my lovely old Welsh country cottage dated circa 1650......come and be close to nature, birds and animals (you have to like dogs, ducks, chickens and wildlife!), take your time in a nurturing natural environment.
Tŷ Isaf is a traditional Welsh stone cottage situated in the stunning Ceiriog Valley. The cottage is very old built circa 1650, it is clean and warm.....but not modernised.....it has wonky walls, old beams and floorboards and flaking plaster and wallpaper because I am slowly renovating.......character I say........but that may not be to your liking! Nevertheless, my home has a lovely welcoming, warm, relaxed atmosphere........ everyone loves Tŷ Isaf! I have a single bed available at first floor level in a single room. The double room is taken by my lodger. There are two bathrooms, a sunny kitchen/dining room and a snug lounge with a huge open fireplace with a wood burner for a fire if it's cold. I have two small friendly dogs and I currently keep free range ducks and chickens outside in the large garden which is visited by a huge variety of wild birds. The surrounding fields are full of wild flowers, sheep and cows........so this listing will suit active, outdoorsy, easy going walkers/country people who are ok with the unpredictable and sometimes messy antics of animals and mud!
Glyn Ceiriog is a very beautiful, unspoilt Welsh valley steeped in history and culture with a thriving community spirit, lots of wonderful walks in the wilderness of the Berwyn and Llantysilio mountains, bike rides and horse riding. There are sooo many interesting places to visit including the 11 mile long UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and the Llangollen Canal, National Trust properties at Erddig and Chirk Castle etc. The spectacular market town of Llangollen on the River Dee with its steam railway and canal and the wonderful Castell Dinas Brân and limestone escarpment and International Music Eisteddfod in July. Spend a pleasant afternoon in the charming market town of Oswestry which has many small individual shops and cafe's.

Located on one of the main roads through Llangollen this two bedroom end terrace, offers comfortable accommodation close to all of the local shops, amenities and attractions. The Pavilion and show ground, where events such as the Eisteddfod are held, is in close proximity .
The main living room is accessed from a small porch. The living room comprises of 2 x sofas, wood burner, internet, tv monitor although no tv connection, dvd player and a selection of dvd’s. The kitchen is located at the rear of the property, from which is accessed a very small backyard/ storage area not suitable for outside seating etc. Upstairs there is one double bedroom and one single bedroom and a family bathroom with bath ( please note due to water pressure issues the shower is very temperamental) The house is self contained with central heating.
Llangollen has lots to offer, for the adventurous there is White water rafting, kayaking, climbing etc. Or you could enjoy a stroll along the river or canal or a horse drawn canal boat ride. Also provided a kettle, toaster, mugs, glasses, plates, bowls, cutlery, tea, coffee, biscuits, plant milk and a light plant based breakfast hamper if requested. Egyptian cotton bedding and towels, toiletries, hairdryer, WiFi.
Our cottage is nestled within 4 acres of wild meadow on a lush emerald hillside, a land of natural beauty over looking the rolling hills of the ‘Clwydian Range’.   Surrounded by distant forests, a cascading river in the valley below, it’s a wild place of tranquility, inspiration and stillness, where nature softly whispers to the heart. Buzzards soar high in the sky and at night you may hear the gentle hooting of our local Tawny owl. The perfect place to escape and unwind.   Within easy reach of the bustling market town of Ruthin, and the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia, Betws-y-Coed, Beddgelert, Moel Famau, Offas Dyke, Lake Bala and many more places of outstanding beauty, there is plenty for everyone to explore and discover.   We look forward to welcoming you

A newly renovated single storey cottage located next to the owner’s house nestled at the foot of the Clwyd Hills...…we are dog friendly. Ideal for a couple/small family/but please note, NOT suitable for children under 12. You are surrounded by captivating farmland with views of Moel Famau. The garden is shared with the owner but the cottage has a private enclosed patio area. Cadole sits conveniently between Mold (popular market town)and Ruthin (renowned for medieval architecture shops and pubs.
There are captivating farmland views from the large patio doors leading from the open plan living area. The kitchen is well equipped with two comfortable bedrooms. The décor is simple with welsh slate floors throughout apart from the carpeted bedrooms. A typical Welsh village pub is less than 5 minutes walk. The Loggerheads Country Park is approx. 10 to 15 mins walk providing beautiful woodland walks and a café.
Tyddyn Daws Bach is just a short distance either on foot or by car, to the Clwyd Hills; my favourite walks being to the top Moel Famau/Moel Arthur. The views offered are breath taking; showing the Vale of Clwyd, Denbighshire, the Clwyd Range and on a clear day, Snowdon. After a walk with my best friend( Seren the lab), which is very often, I like to pop into Caffi Florence in the Loggerheads Country Park for some locally cooked food.

With accommodation that is light and airy and complimented by pretty pastel shades, a wonderful fully equipped kitchen and a cosy log burner with French doors leading to the patio, the cottage is ideal at any time of the year and provides a high level of comfort. Formerly the stable and having many previous uses (including housing the turkeys!), the cottage adjoins the owners Grade II listed farmhouse which dates back to 1749. Retaining much of its former character, interesting features displaying the buildings previous uses are still evident today including the stone squares in the courtyard wall used to house Beehives and a double wooded toilet in the small shed (not working), providing a fascinating glimpse of the bygone farming era. Chickens can be seen wandering the Orchard and grounds surrounding Geinas Farmhouse Stable which are bursting with fruit trees - guests are welcome to help themselves to fruit when in seasons and the chickens supply wonderfully fresh eggs (some are put in the welcome basket). Set in two acres of grounds, Geinas Farmhouse Stable sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the foot of the Clwydian Hill Range, affording lovely views that stretch across to Bodfari village with the beach just eight miles away. There are an abundance of historic sites and the cottage is conveniently placed for enjoying all that Snowdonia has to offer and the historic sites and beautiful landscape of the Borderlands (including the walled City of Chester and magical Llangollen in a pretty riverside setting) to the east (forty five minutes by car). Our guests describe Porth y Dŵr as 'amazing' and rightly so. Grade II* listed, this wonderful old house is filled with a calm and relaxing ambience that only comes with the passage of time. Many of its original features including the massive oak frame, slate floors and wall panelling remain, giving a real sense of history to the house, enhanced by a sensitive and authentic restoration, and complementary traditional furnishing. The house is close to the town centre, shops, pubs and restaurants.
Within the historic core of Porth y Dŵr is a generous living area partially divided by the original oak frame, providing separate spaces for comfortable seating around the cosy open fire, a large dining table seating 6, and a small snug. Through a Gothic arch - the original entrance - is a modern fitted kitchen, and both areas have access to a small sunny courtyard. Porth y Dŵr is a relaxed and relaxing space for guests to recharge without modern intrusions - there is no TV but books, games and jigsaws are available. On the first floor, the panelled main bedroom, screened from the landing, is spacious and filled with character; it has a king-size bed and its own en suite bathroom. For families an additional single bed can be provided. The charming second bedroom sleeps 2 in two single beds. A large family bathroom with bath and separate shower, and a second separate WC complete the space.
Ruthin lies in the stunning Vale of Clwyd, between heather-clad hills and open moorland. The ancient market town, its narrow streets lined with historic buildings, clusters around the medieval castle. There are exclusive shops to browse, restaurants for fine dining, and friendly pubs and cafés offering a warm welcome. The great outdoors is on the doorstep for walking, biking, fishing, adventure activities and so much more. Children love the safe beaches, steam trains, castles and country parks, and dogs are always welcome. For adrenaline junkies, North Wales, the Adventure Capital of Europe, awaits!
