  • Host were really helpful on the phone as we got lost trying to find the place

  • This place is pure heaven. I have been coming back and forth to the area since the early 1970s, and stayed at many types of places, and this most reminds me of the old Hawaii, the paradise I so love. Melissa and Scott were amazing, everything was perfect. Set up like the luxury permanent tented camps of Africa, the tent provides a netted place to sleep, yet open to the island breezes and the sounds of nature. The bed is comfortable and sleep was easy and deep, awakening to the rise of the sun and the green verdant vegetation and birdsong. The deck is the perfect place to hang out, kitchen facilities well provided. Haleiwa and the best beaches close at hand, yet secluded and surrounded by nature. Loved it...

  • Scott and Melissa have a great little space for you to enjoy. The tent was perfect. It was nice sitting on the covered porch area in the morning with our coffee just admiring the scenery and listening to the sounds of nature. Yes, there are the sounds of nature. It’s beautiful white noise at night. If you don’t want to listen to birds and other creatures all night long, this isn’t the place for you. For us, it was great. You can hear the neighbors, but only during the day. It actually is quite secluded. The only times we actually interacted with people were when Scott came to check on us, or when their other tenants walked by our tent. There are peacocks, wild pigs, and cats galore. We had a furry cat friend visit us all week, it was cute. This place had everything we were looking for, and more. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

    Sara2017-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exactly as described and better. We were close to everything. The Eco Tent was just what we were looking for. A bit of nature with the comforts of home. Scott and Melissa were great hosts. Available if we needed them but not intrusive. The birds in the morning were an amazing treat. We look forward to coming back!

  • Absolutely loved this place! Felt really secluded yet it was only a 5 min drive into Haleiwa town which is adorable and full of great cafes and restaurants. The place had everything we needed plus some lovely touches like fresh fruit and delicious coffee. Perfect for accessing all the North Shore beaches. Silvan and Adam were great, Silvan gave us some really good tips for places to go. Thanks for everything, sorry we didn't see you in person to say goodbye! Hopefully we'll be back soon :-)

    Rachel2014-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay at Scott & Melissa's eco-tent. Communication was very easy and directions to the location were very precise. Comfortable bed, hot shower and an outdoor kitchen were highlights for us. Haleiwa is just a 10 minute drive and has grocery stories, restaurants and a fabulous Thai restaurant that Scott recommended. The owner is quite a character but his cooking is worth it! We stopped on the way in from the airport and bought ground coffee and a few groceries so we could enjoy breakfast every morning on the kitchen deck. We only saw Scott twice during our 9 night stay so we had lots of privacy but he also was always available by text if we had a question or needed anything. Would highly recommend and hope to come back again(URL HIDDEN)

  • It was very good days

  • Thank you Silvan and Adam! We had a great stay here despite the unusually hot and humid weather caused by a tropical storm to the south of Hawaii. The tent was great and luckily well ventilated and we were definitely sad to leave. Silvan and Adam were both very nice and helpful with recommendations for hikes, restaurants and surfing - this place really was the perfect launching pad for our north shore adventures. We also enjoyed meeting all the yard animals - chickens, peacocks, pigs and a very friendly cat named Bones who we immediately took a liking to. The tent has everything you might want from a full bathroom to a fridge, French press and scuba gear. It's mentioned in the property description but you should note that there is another tent on the property that is accessed via a drive adjacent to this tent. We didn't mind this especially when we found out that people we knew who had come to Hawaii for the same wedding were staying there! All in all we had an awesome time - a perfect north shore experience.

Stay in sunny quiet Waialua in a charming 70's bungalow. Renovated modern room and bathroom with new white granite kitchen and updated appliances. Quick 5 minute walk to beach, close to Haleiwa, a quiet gateway to north shore away from traffic.
Share a 70's plantation bungalow with the owner and his wife. Guest's have full use of the 1600sqft, 2 bedroom house, facilities (washer/dryer) and yard space. House is completely renovated with redecorated guest bedroom, new modern bathroom and new shiny kitchen with granite countertops. I'm hoping for people to come and stay on the north shore for a taste of the real Hawaii, the tranquility and access to the amazing variety of sports and beautiful outdoor experiences on offer. I work 10 - 6pm, and my wife keeps herself busy so around the house is pretty quiet during the days. I'm from NZ, have extensively traveled and am very active, which is good because there are so many cool things to do on the north shore. Anca my wife is Romanian and has lived internationally for the last 20 years The lounge is nicely finished with polished wooden floors and new leather sectional couch, with excellent indoor outdoor flow to the 500sqft balcony, which is also furnished. This balcony gives a nice shady outdoor relaxation spot during the day and evening. The garden is loaded with lime, orange, lemon, papaya, avocado and lilokoi fruit trees, so feel free to help yourself to the fresh organic fruits The room available has been tastefully redecorated, and is adjacent to the new bathroom. A comfortable queen bed, desk/workspace, linen, wardrobe and cupboards/storage are provided. Please be aware there is no air conditioning or TV available. The bedrooms have fans, and the house and outside balcony get the cooling trade winds in the afternoon. There is a large front yard available for playing/relaxing and a nice outside covered balcony.
  • I appreciate it Jason greatly for allowing me to stay in his home. I wish I could have stayed longer. The nearest food shops are about a mile away, not bad walking. The guest room and restroom were very nicely set up. The living room and kitchen are spacious along with the yard. There are great speakers in the living room and in the guest room. Jason is very kind and even went out of his way to accommodate me with a fan and to grab papaya from the papaya tree he has in his yard. There was a construction going on for the house next door but it didn't disrupt my stay. My stay was absolutely comfortable and I would absolutely recommend Jason's home to others!

  • Wonderful hosts!

    Jane2017-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jason’s place is very clean, stylish and newly renovated, and very comfortable. The home is located a quick car ride from Haleiwa (pronounced Hale-ee-va) and nestled in a quiet residential community where you’ll get a taste for how locals live (aka not many vacation homes or resorts). We came as a couple on a surf/snorkel trip and he not only rented my boyfriend one of his many quality surfboards, but had plenty of useful insider tips on where to go. That advice really elevated our trip! He pretty much keeps to himself but will make himself available and hang out if you express interest. To me, that’s the best sort of host. Would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you’re a water sport enthusiast.

    Debbie2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jason home in Waialua is spacious and comfortable and located in the quiet lots just off the beach. The vibe is user friendly - it's an open house. Jasons a waterman, conditioned by the sea and has all the 'kit' to facilitate and enable such a life. Haleiwa is a pineapple away and Island Vintage Coffee is the spot after an am surf or if there isn't any, a work-out-swim (w the US marines 6am 'SHARP' @ Wiamea Bay) fun stuff ! Jasons organised, communicates clearly, takes a little warming up but once you get him there - you can feel the connect. Good man to have by your side if your in difficulty, I'd say, and having been dug in on the North Shore for some time now he has a solid body of knowledge about where you are in that world.

    Nataliia2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice flat with a very easygoing host, only about 10-15min walk from the beach in a quiet neighbourhood. No insulation or AC if that's what you need, but there is a fan which was enough for us. Especially the bathroom is really pretty and the flat was overall very clean. The mattress is a bit swaying if you're trying to sleep as two individuals, but the bed is big enough for it. If you want lonely beaches, this is the place to go!

    Thomas2017-07-29T00:00:00Z

  • Jason is a great host! The room was clean and he lent us beach towels to use as well. He gave us good tips on things to do and places to see around the island. I would definitely recommend staying here for anyone headed to the north shore!

  • This apartment is so beautiful, every single detail is well planed. Kanoe was amazing also, such a nice person and great hospitality. We really felt like home in this place. There were bicycles that you could borrow to ride to the Haleiwa.

  • We initially chose this studio for its unique charm and good value. This accommodation was our first Airbnb experience and we are happy to say that the bar has now been set high. Kanoa and Zazu are lovely hosts that are able to provide fun tips and places to visit that may not be on the beaten path. It was great to connect with them when we were coming and going, and their dogs are absolutely sweet and adorable. I would recommend this spot to everyone. The location is nice and close to Haleiwa, and I even enjoyed the bike ride into town. My husband and I can't wait to return as soon as possible.

  • Wow! A wonderful place to stay. Easy to find. Check in was great even for a late arrival. Place was exactly what we needed. Full kitchen. Great jet soaker tub. Bed was super comfy. Lots of great selection of movies on the nice tv that swivels around. Welcome beers ! We rented a car, has a place to park right out front. The property is close to the town 2 min drive, beach nice and close. Dogs are super friendly. The room has a amazing beachy vibe that adds the special touch to being on vacation.

  • Kanoa's place is just round the corner from a great little bakery on the edge of Haleiwa. There are lots of beautiful, arty details and we found something new every day. Well worth a visit!

  • Kanoa and his family were wonderful hosts! We absolutely loved the space and all that they were so gracious to share with us. It was the perfect start to our adventure there. If you need any tips or suggestions on where to eat or activities to find, Kanoa is very informative and helpful as well! Thanks again for such a fantastic stay! We will definitely be back! Mahalo!

  • My girlfriend and I had a great time staying at the Hale o 'iwa Studio hosted by Kanoa Dahlin. The studio is located close to Old Haleiwa Town and the famous North Shore. Kanoa, being a local of Haleiwa, will give you great insight on where to eat, what to check out, and in my case....where to surf. The studio is fully furnished and is adorned with beautiful artwork. We kept finding something that would catch our eye. From the beautiful wooden frames to the custom tile work in the shower. The studio quickly became a place that we didn't want to leave. Next time I am back on Oahu, I will definitely will be booking a stay here once again.

    Rocky2016-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Kanoa's place was exactly as the rave reviews said it would be: our best Airbnb experience yet! This beautifully maintained space was the perfect spot for a long stay on the North Shore-- minutes from Haleiwa town and fully equipped with everything we needed from coffee to beach chairs. Kanoa was also a wonderful, welcoming host and we were glad to meet him & his family this week. We would 1000% look to stay here again. Mahalo!

  • We had such a great time at Tomas and Julia's place. Everything was more than perfect, super clean, the communication and check in was awesome and the location was terrific since all of Oahu's North Shore is really the best part of this island. Above all that, the hosts are extremely nice and it was definitely the best aribnb experience I've ever had so far!

** PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION & Review Policies* *MUST BE 24 yrs old or older to book. Located in Northshore, Oahu. This one bedroom cottage is detached and separate from the main house with its own private entrance. We live in the main home. Convenient to beaches and quaint Haleiwa Town with shops, restaurants and attractions. Sleeps 2 adults comfortably with a queen bed but can accomodate 1-2 small persons, with pullout, air mat, pls inquire first. 4 adults is not possible.
TAT (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) XX Aloha, welcome to our Northshore cottage located just a few blocks from the beautiful ocean and sandy beaches, a short five minute drive to Historic Haleiwa town and a few miles from northshore's world-class beaches. Located in one of the original sugarcane plantation communities (now famous Waialua Coffee Mill), this area is slow and laid back, farms and beaches are side by side. The motto "keep the country country" is taken seriously. Development is frowned upon and many of the original buildings are still standing. This cottage is NEW contruction! It's roomy about 500 sq ft. with open beam ceilings which makes the space feel even larger. Our main house is also listed and can accomodates more guest and maybe available. Please ask if you do not see open dates. View here and please read my reviews for my "Vintage Northshore House" link: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/9846187? Around the corner is a jogging-bike trail.
Small sleepy town Waialua, one of the original sugarcane plantation towns of Oahu (now coffee mill) that's still has "the country" Old Hawaii feel. While other plantations on the island have been built over from development, Waialua is a town that time forgot, no stop lights, laid back and slow but convenient to very popular spots along the north shore. A beautiful sandy residential beach with blue waters is just a 5 min walk away. Quaint Historic Haleiwa town is less than two miles away with many eateries, shops and galleries. Many stores, shops and restaurants for amenities are nearby about a 5 minute drive. Many beach parks are close as well as popular northshore beaches such as: Waimea beach and Valley, Pupukea, Sharks Cove, Haleiwa Beach Park, Lani, Turtle Beach, Sunset, Pipeline. Too many to name, I can go on and on. Note: because this is a small town, many restaurants and shops close in the early evening or just after dinnertime . Only a handful of eateries stay open past 8pm so please plan accordingly.
  • I found the cottage spacious and comfortable with everything one might need. I loved the beachy decor. In exploring by foot one morning, I happened upon a local coffee shop "Brew and Foam" which I highly recommend...also took a bike ride on the bike path and further down the road at end... nice scenery, fun. While I didn't have time to go to the beach, other than for a walk, Grace had everything there under the carport ready to go. The beach access is very close and convenient to the cottage. On my drive out of Waialua, I stopped at The Sugar Mill and Farmer's Market. Both gems... Grace was a great host and quick to respond to my questions... communication was excellent. Great place for couples or singles (felt safe and secure).

    susan2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect! The cottage is adorable, with everything you need if you want to stay in and easy access to everything if you want to go out. Close to Haleiwa town (5-10 min) for some shopping and dining and just a bit further to some of the world famous North Shore beaches (Waimea 15 min, Pipeline 20 min). Only a couple minute walk from a calmer, less populate beach. Grace was great, making herself available when needed, but still giving plenty of privacy. I wish I could give 6 stars, this place is a real gem!

    Andy2017-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • The best experience we could have asked for. Grace greeted us upon arrival and gave us everything we needed - she was so sweet and made sure to give us our own space (we only saw her a couple times during the week we were there). She told us about the best hiking spots, local places to eat and things to do. She was flexible and understanding and genuinely wanted us to have an amazing time on the North Shore. The cottage is tucked away in a quiet area close to Haleiwa town and was close to everything we wanted to do so it was the perfect location. Loved our trip and Grace made our stay that much better.

  • What a great place to have stayed for a few nights on the North Shore! The studio is spacious, private, and comfortable, and Gladys is a great hostess. She provided bikes, boogie boards, beach towels, and beach chairs. She left very thorough instructions and suggestions for places to go and eat, and helped make our stay wonderful!

  • If you want a quiet place to stay that is inexpensive but adorable and clean, this is the spot. We stayed for our wedding night and the next day and we couldn't have been happier with this spot! You can't hear any neighbors and you feel like you're in your own little world even though you're just down the road from all the things that the north shore has to offer! Wonderful hosts! We recommend this place to anyone who wants a centrally located yet quiet and private place to rest their head while in Waialua. Thank you Gladys!

  • Alan and Rebecca greeted us with handmade Leis from their garden flowers. They gave us an overview of the cottage and the shed we had access to with beach gear. They chatted with us when we initiated it, but left us to ourselves for the most part. Very easy-going and accommodating.

  • This cottage was the perfect place to stay! It was a great location - very easy to drive to Haleiwa and other North Shore destinations...or head down Farrington Hwy to quieter areas. We loved simply relaxing in the cottage as well. Very quiet and safe! Soaps and shampoos are provided as well as bath and beach towels. The storage shed has everything you need to enjoy the beach. Plenty of flippers, and one snorkel tube and mask. There are many food trucks and a couple of restaurants in the area to enjoy, and the kitchen in the cottage is well stocked if you want to cook there instead. Read the journal in the cottage to get tips from past guests on where to go and what to do. There is a fan and an air conditioner if it gets too stuffy. We didn't have to worry about a single thing during our (URL HIDDEN) relaxing!

  • Great location, quite neighborhood and access to so many great beach supplies: sun umbrellas and rain umbrellas, cooler, boogie boards and snorkeling gear.

  • Best Vacation Ever!!! Perfect hidden North Shore spot.

  • Alan and Rebecca were warm, welcoming, and attentive hosts. Their home is lovely: the view is exactly as advertised, and the lanai is a relaxing place to read or eat a meal. The location was great too: Rebecca encouraged us to walk to the farmer's market, which was great, and we were just a few minutes' bike or drive to Haleiwa and the beach. A wonderful retreat on the North Shore -- we hope to be back!

  • Had a great stay at Alan and Rebecca's place. Great location near the beautiful North Shore. Quiet and scenic while still being able to get to Honolulu pretty easily. Stop at the Beach House for dinner on the water or Kono's for breakfast in Haleiwa. Had a great time!

    Katie2017-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Alan and Rebecca's studio is the perfect place if you are looking for a place to stay in the north shore! Not even a 10 minute drive to Haleiwa, 20 minute drive to Waimea Bay and the food trucks. Alan and Rebecca wrote an email to us before our arrival with easy check in and stay instructions. He provided great restaurant recommendations as well (we went to almost all of them, and yes they are all great! We also recommend checking out Opal Thai!) Alan met us upon arrival when we checked in and gave us tips and directions. We were staying for our second week in Oahu / honeymoon as we had just gotten married the day before, and he met is with a bottle of champagne and a very sweet card. The studio itself is very spacious and clean. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom has a modern sink. Full size fridge and sink. Plenty of plates, cups, etc. for use when you are eating in. Nice high top table and chairs outside in the front with a great view of the mountainside where we ate breakfast everyday. There are spare coolers left by former renters. The storage has bikes, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella for use. We used the beach chairs every day. Alan and Rebecca - thank you for making our first Air B and B experience amazing!

  • We loved staying at Alan and Rebecca's quiet and peaceful place. The beach towels and chairs, etc. were great! Alan made us feel comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend the stay.

This is a lovely two bedroom, one bath North Shore open style home. There is an enclosed patio, where you can enjoy meals or read a book. Your room is cozy, has a comfortable queen bed, desk, air conditioning, closet space if you need it, and bath towel hooks. There is a peek-a-boo ocean view from your window...During the winter months, you can hear the waves crashing at night.
We are located in a quiet beach side neighborhood, where you can enjoy miles of uncrowded beaches. There are often turtles swimming in the water or taking a rest on the sandy beach.

  • If you want a quite and relaxing place to stay this is for you. It is close to beaches that are amazing. Close to a few tourist sights like Dole Pineapple Plantation and Polynesian Cultural Center. It is quite a distance to Waikiki and town life but we just loved the quite, relaxed life of the North Shore!

    Melissa2017-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful couple Laurie and Ryan are! Not only were they fantastic hosts, but they were lovely to talk and hangout with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their beautiful beach home. The location is literally perfect and so was their home. The end of our stay, Alec became my fiancé and there could not have been a better place to start our engagement! Mahalo Laurie and Ryan!

  • Laurie and Ryan's home was clean, airy, and calm. Hosts were great, respectful, helpful in giving hiking and dining advise, and also had beach towels, chairs, boogy boards and snorkeling equipment to borrow. The neighborhood seemed very safe and quiet at night. Within a block or two of the beach, but further for restaurants and shops. I would stay with Laurie and Ryan again, and recommend their place to others.

  • Great place to unplug from the rush of busy life.

    Terry2017-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie is a great host. Her room and house were clean and comfortable with AC!! I was there with my 8yo son and he warmed up to her right away. The place is a little out of the way so if u wanna be right in the action this is not for you, but, if you wanna chill in quite after running the beaches and town then this is made to order. Would stay again for sure. She can be a source for info and is a foodie so u foodies will like that. Peace, Sach and Zeto!!!

    Sach2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Nice couple, clean house, friendly cats, comfortable bed, great neighborhood by the beach! What more could you ask for? We would definitely stay here again.

  • The Cedar Shack was wonderful! Just what we needed. Peaceful and close to the beach, the North Shore is my favorite! The location of the shack is great, and the shack it's self is very comfortable. The WiFi is great too! I definitely recommend it.

  • Nice location one block back from beach.

  • We loved staying at Kenneth's place! There were beach chairs, snorkeling gear, and towels ready for us to use at the many north shore beaches we went to. Watching the sunset at the beach across the street was the best way to end our nights. The house was clean, comfortable and private. We would love to stay here again.

  • The sea shack is an adorable little get away tucked in a residential neighborhood. Great for a quick night away like we did. It seems like a lot of care was taken to make sure you have everything you need. Would highly recommend. We also loved to Old Sugar Mill close by. It's been turned into a store and coffeeshop. There's also a surf shop clothing boutique and a soap factory. They have us a tour of the coffee process and it was great. Mahalo!

  • Cedar Sea Shack was perfect! It was exactly what we were looking for and exactly what we needed. Quiet, close to the beach, not far from Hale'iwa. We fell in love with the North Shore. Ken and Kimi were gracious hosts, and very nice. We stayed in one other place on Oahu and also on Big Island and this was our favorite place. This will be our go-to place when we go to North Shore again.

  • Can't wait to come back.

    Derrick2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Great reviews and photos gave me confident when booking Kenneth's place but it turned out to be even better. Beach is 3 min walk away which I liked it much better than crowded/commercialized ones. Place was spacious, clean, well maintained for the guests. Would definitely stay again when I visit Honolulu.

My place is close to restaurants and dining, the beach, family-friendly activities, and public transportion, The Bus Waialua bus connects with the island, The Bus at post office. The studio is good for couples and solo adventurers.
  • I had a good stay at Barbara's Farm View Studio. Barbara is an awesome host, totally personable and welcoming, and accommodating to any need-- a real pleasure! The studio itself is bright, airy and relaxing. Its unpretentious and down-to-earth with a great vibe and views to match. Wifi worked well and the bed was super comfortable-- two major priorities in my book! Finally, the back porch is a total gem-- I spent many hours there just kicking back, enjoying the scenery and ambiance. I enjoyed my time there-- and hope to make it back soon.

  • This quaint spot is perfect for anyone who wants to spend some quality time on the island. It is far enough off the beaten path to where one can feel the country-ness of the North shore, while still being close enough to visit all the main attractions in the area. There are wonderful amenities with everything you need for your stay. The parking is extremely convenient while the shower and living space is perfect for the solo traveler or a couple. The back deck was perfect for viewing neighboring farms and experiencing the Oahu nature that includes birds, lizards and the occasional rain shower. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, Barbara is a gem with many local recommendations.

    Donovan2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara's cozy studio is a perfect stay in the North Shore if you like to experience the true Hawaiian beach vibe. It's close to a lot of small beaches and bays, and if you have a car, you can easily and quick get to the rest of the North Shore coast, as well as restaurants, food trucks, boutiques and cafes in Haleiwa. Barbara is an amazing host and gave us so many suggestions and recommendations to do in the area. The studio has a small kitchen, but you can still cook all 3 meals through the day if needed. There is a bar table with 3 chairs where you can enjoy your meal, otherwise we recommend to pay the many food trucks a visit or eat on the big terrace that comes with the studio. We highly recommend this place, if you love the beach and outside activities. Thank you for a great stay, Barbara! We hope to come back again.

  • We loved staying here and it was close to everything we wanted to do in the north shore. It was a very private location and Barbara was a great host and helped us figure out what we wanted to see while there. The washer/dryer was really nice to have as well.

  • This was my first usage of AirBnB, so one can imagine my trepidation. I was there for work on Schofield Barracks, and while my coworkers were obliged to spend something like $6k per person on stays at the Marriott in Waikiki, I opted for the $88/day rate of Barbara's charming garage apartment on the North Shore. In short, my stay surpassed expectations. The location is close enough to Hale'iwa that you can take advantage of the town (food trucks galore!), but far enough that you are not inundated by tourist traffic. It is directly across from a school, but that did not present any issues. The internet is plenty fast, and there's plenty of space in the room itself. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the bathroom/shower room has everything you will need to survive your North Shore adventures. I suppose a complaint could be made for a lack of air conditioning, but A) there are plenty of fans with outlets available, and B) the wraparound screen windows provide ample airflow. My stay was during the hotter months of the year for Hawaii and I had no complaints. Make sure to take advantage of the hammock Barbara will offer you--it's in a perfect spot and incredibly relaxing. Mahalo! Tom

  • Barbara is a wonderful and kind host! The home was a wonderful and private place of rest and relaxation for my husband and I while we were visiting family. Places to eat and enjoy were excellent.

  • I truly enjoyed my stay here with Barbara. Everything was accurate & she made sure we knew we could communicate with her at any time if we did need anything. Spent a week there & it almost felt like I lived on the island. It was a beautiful change from Waikiki and staying at a regular hotel. It truly gave me the feeling of what it's like to live in Northshore. I completely recommend it to anyone who really wants to experience more of a local feel & wants to stay away from feeling like a tourist. We had breakfast everyday in Haleiwa which was 5 minutes away & found a secluded beach less than 2 minutes away. It had everything we needed & the outside shower was perfect to rinse off after spending the day at the beach.

  • Mahina and Cristian's home was one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had! The space is beautiful and perfect for 2 people. Mahina and Cristian are extremely friendly and accommodating and provided some amazing recommendations for local beaches and hikes. I highly recommend their home if you are looking to get away from the hustle of Waikiki, explore less crowded beaches, and an incredible view of the mountains just outside.

    Christian2014-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Mahina and Cristian's cabin was perfect for our stay on the north shore. The cabin is just as pictured, very clean with nice decor. Mahina made us yogurt parfait for breakfast and stocked the fridge with lemon water. The scent oils were a really nice touch. We were able to do some laundry and line dry our towels and swim cloths. They had snorkeling equipment, surf board, boogie board, cooler and chairs that we were able to use. Mahina gave us some great tips on where the locals go in the area and she was spot on.

  • The cottage was lovely. It took us a little too find the property because we were checking in late, but fortunately the owners were nice enough to stay up and help us. Thank you for your space it was private, comfortable, and very cute.

  • This place is a great location to explore the north shore. Cristian was very welcoming and told us some great places to check out. What is also great about this place is that if you are into water sports or hanging at the beach, Cristian allows you to use some of his snorkel, surf, body board, and beach gear (chairs, towels, etc). For us that was a nice bonus since we were for the most part on a beach exploring trip to the North Shore. Cristian was very welcoming and staying at a place like this is what truly represents the "aloha spirit" of Hawaii.

  • The Caicedo's are a beautiful family, very friendly and welcoming and even let us borrow their bikes. The room was very clean, had a great theme and was close to the beach. Thank you so much Mahina and Cristian for a wonderfull stay in Wailua!

  • :) Smiles all around! Mahina and Cristian are great and warm hosts that are always close by should you need anything. It was very enjoyable staying at the Cozy Waialua Getaway. Location is splendid for using north shore as a base for the beaches and food! Room was as described in both words and pictures, very comfortable stay!

  • We were very warmly greeted by Cristian on the day we arrived. The cleanliness of the place, and the overall quiet of the atmosphere (except for the delightful sound of the family occasionally singing, and frequently laughing, from inside the house!) within the neighborhood was just what we needed. Cristian's local knowledge of restaurants and beaches, and provision of snorkeling gear, eased our transition from being very busy the previous 3 weeks on the mainland to the gentle Hawaiian lifestyle. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The room was very very clean. Micheal is a great host. We recommand it without hesitation.

  • This is a great place to stay. Michael was a great host. The room was everything we expected. Perfect for 2 people. It's very clean and cozy. Walking distance to a great beach. And within driving distance to the best parts of the north shore. I would definitely stay here again.

  • We looked forward to a week on north shore of O‘ahu, witnessing its beauty and ocean two blocks from our nice room with private entrance. But first night came down with an old enemy, kidney stone. Our relationship to Mike and wife changed from where is the nearest store to where is the nearest ER. We continued to use their room as a base. Most valuable was Jessica’s help who as a nurse suggested more advanced care and prepped this new ER which greatly speeded our entry. Thank You

    Peter2017-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was very nice and accommodating. He even let me check in early for a nap after my long flight. The room itself is very clean and comfortable. The beach is a 3 minute walk away and everything I wanted to see on the north shore was a quick drive. The price makes it an excellent value.

ALOHA!!! I'm Kurt, and I live with my awesome wife, Chanelle, & my good friend Danny. This is a newly renovated home with some amazing features. A contemporary beach decor with a very comfortable feel, & only a short 1-2 minute walk to an amazing and uncrowded beach! The living space is on the second floor, so we get really good ocean breezes to keep cool. There is a QUEEN size bed, and also a futon/couch in the room. Perfect for couples OR friends that can have their own bed.
The best part about this place is that there is plenty of room, inside and out. We have a huge yard with a fire pit, outdoor shower, patio table, lawn chairs, hammock and a huge tree that keeps everything shaded. The neighborhood is super friendly. Have fun relaxing, enjoying and exploring the north shore!
This neighborhood is great, with lots of family-friendly activity. There is an awesome bike path for walking, jogging and biking around. Very safe!
  • Great location and great host , definitely recommend staying here

  • We loved our stay here! We were made feel very welcome and at home. We were provided with a lot of suggestions on what to do around the island and other great conversation. Thanks again guys!!

  • Our first Airbnb experience was a very relax, comfortable stay, due to Kurt's hospitality. We hope to make another trip to the North Shore someday & will definitely try to book a stay with Kurt. In a very beautiful part of the island, with many local spots to entertain/amaze tourists of all ages.

  • Nice and central location with great mountain views and 2 min walk to the beach. Kurt and roommate Danny were both really friendly and knew the area well. They were able to give us some tips to enjoy some nearby hikes and scenery. Would stay again if we head back to North Shore O’ahu

Aloha!
  • Great for laid back couples, corner property has beaches, bike path and state park hikes Most gracious hosts! Firm comfortable bed and a low key neighborhood A drive to Sunday mass service but a beautiful healthy walk.

  • 5 stars all the way, this bungalow was awesome! Kara and Caleb gave us the warmest welcome to their place and were some of the coolest people I've met in my life. They were very accommodating, quick to respond, and helped make our stay as much as fun as possible (plenty of advice, suggestions, and amazing hospitality). The room has a large, comfortable double bed, kitchenette, private bathroom/amenities, fridge, and even fresh fruit provided from their garden! The place is in a safe & quiet area away from the crowds and is only two blocks from a very secluded beach where turtles can be found hanging out. Topped off with a work out area in the yard, treehouse, outdoor shower, washer/dryer, and their awesome pup Shiva! We had great conversation and enjoyed every minute of our stay at the beachside bungalow. My girlfriend and I were treated wonderfully and can't wait to get back. Mahalo guys.

    Mike2017-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kara and Caleb are wonderful hosts and are VERY accommodating. There home is perfectly located and a hop/skip to the beach. Everything was as listed on page and very neat & clean. Be sure to check out one of Kara’s yoga classes! We loved our time at their home and will someday be back! Mahalo you guys

    Caleb 2017-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Don't tell this to anyone: there is the most perfect tree house in the yard here. If you are still a kid at heart, you might want to climb into this tree house and hide out. When I climbed up, all my vital signs lowered, and I felt better. Calmer. More like myself. This bungalow is a sweet retreat. Kara and Caleb are lovey hosts. The bungalow is a studio off the garage, very private. They are just a call or text away to help with any questions, and there was a note with helpful information. The studio is small - 1 or 2 people only. It is a typically simple north shore studio, with many personal touches. The dog Shiva, has a pleasant personality. The property is an easy minute or 2 walk to beach access. Coffee, food, (delicious poke at the General Store!) gas and other needs are an easy 1.5 miles away. The shower is outdoors, but very private, with plenty of hot water. There's no TV, which, for me, was bonus. Did I mention that there is this perfect tree house?

    Cinda2017-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using airbnb and Kara made the experience a breeze. I had a late arrival and she was still able to meet me. The space is exactly as described. I loved the outdoor shower and the fresh fruit was so thoughtful. Great list of suggestions. I would definitely stay again!

    Carrie2017-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kara’s house is a cozy and cute little alcove just outside of Haleiwa. It was very convenient for us since we were hanging out in Haleiwa and nearby surfing points. Kara and her husband Caleb and their dog Shiva were super friendly and very hospitable! Room is small but cute and cozy, outdoor shower has great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Great value for location!

  • We loved da cabin by da sea! Everything about the cabin was perfect! Short walk to the beach & we saw a bunch of sea turtles! So rad! The outdoor shower & all the animals on the property, were my personal fav! My husband loved the location & the front porch! When we come back to the north shore we'll be staying again!

    Shelby2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. It's super close to the beach and you can regularly spot turtles close to shore! Also super close to town with fantastic shops and restaurants. The only downside is the last bus is quite early and there aren't any shops close so if you're relying on TheBus you need to plan ahead. I had a fantastic time and would recommend.

  • We love Kenneth and Tiny house cabin by da sea! It's so cute and charming, with lots of enchanting details. My little ones loved all the animals (which were kept behind a gate if you do not :) ) and it was so close to a beautifully quiet beach. Also, Haleiwa town is within quick driving distance and has cute shops, friendly people, and delicious restaurants. Ken was so warm and welcoming, and informative! He's lived on the island a long time and knows all the best places to go. We had such a great time and will recommend tiny house to all our friends and family.

    Jill 2017-01-23T00:00:00Z
Excellent accomendation experience! Kenneth whole family are truly nice to us. There is a magnificent beach park only 5 mins walk. We love Meggie the big dog.

    Shichao2017-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Communication with Ken was super easy and the recommendations helpful. Although tiny the place is well equipped for all basic needs and is cozy and charming. If you are looking for an authentic northshore neighborhood experience would definately recommend.

Our room has it own entrance with air con and smart tv Extra rooms available Checkin time is after 11 am Nice covered area with outdoor cooking area. Bus stop across street. The room is less than a mile from beautiful beaches! We have chickens in the neighborhood they sometimes get loud.
Quartier familial ...

  • The stay with Donna and Pat was INCREDIBLE ! A really authentic way to discover the north shore. They are amazing people, really nice and offered us way more than we could expect. Basics like water, a piece of fruit, coffee and tea. But they also lent us a pair of bycicles to discover the area since we didn't have any car. By the way, there is a bus stop near their house (bus 76 that goes to Haleiwa - really pretty little town). And an awsome moment with their family around a barbecue, ukulele and singing. We had so much fun !!! The place is also really beautiful ! The room is cosy and there is an outside kitchen that you can use and lots of chairs and stuff to just chill outside. We are definitely going back there if we ever go back to Hawaï ! Thank you so much for everything !

Beautiful beach cottage and surfer’s paradise, just around the corner from a lesser known beach. This two bedroom house is perfect for accommodating up to 4 people. A short drive from Haleiwa strip with shops, restaurants and markets. The house is located about 20 min. from famous beaches such as Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach and Pipeline. Located in a family oriented neighborhood, very safe and quiet. Perfect for relaxing. We do have neighbors on property and don’t allow unregistered guests.
Our house is in a local neighborhood, away from traffic but still just a short drive from the more popular spots on the north shore. We are one block away from the beach with calm water, good for swimming, relaxing and enjoying paradise. All of the rooms at the house are equipped with its own A/C so you can keep cool during the day or night. We have a fully equipped kitchen and one bathroom at the house
  • Very cool location and neighborhood. We had a couple extra guests - i.e. Cockroaches. Insufficient window coverage at night with curtains, felt like anyone could see in. Personally for the money spent I would inquire to other accommodations.

  • Shinna's place promised an authentic island village experience from the outset. But our expectations were pleasantly surpassed. Shinna is a fantastic host, warm, welcoming and very communicative. She made us feel like we were visiting an old friend. Her place is amazing and full of character. The outdoor shower is a real unexpected treat, particularly at night, when you can see the stars. Shinna's garden is just beautiful and the perfect spot to relax, read a book, meditate, or do whatever you fancy. The pomelo tree in the back garden is also a nice treat and Shinna tells us it produces fruit all year round. Thank you, Shinna for a great experience and for offering people such a soulful place on lovely North Shore!

  • Aloha, this is a hidden gem for sure! ->Location was perfect. Quiet and safe neighbourhood, easy to get to/from. We stayed here for 11 days. ->Amenities were spot on as described. The WiFi was quick, having an outdoor shower under the stars is simply amazing, the delicious organic tea and coffee was greatly appreciated as well as the few things in the fridge. The bed was very comfortable, no issues at all. An abundance of shower and hand towels were provided and we were told we could so laundry as well at the side of the house. The home itself is very quiet, you can't hear the host and she can't hear you. Half the time we cooked breakfast/dinner and Shinna has everything you need, pots, pans, salad spinner. ->Contacting: Shinna was readily available to help us when we needed advice and pointers, she even lent us some beach equipment. Some highlights: ->the pets! the dog and 3 cats are very friendly and respectful ->The yard is spectacular, so many plants and trees. My favourite was coming home at night and smelling the night-blooming jasmine tree and waking up to the smell of of the mock-orange tree! -> Sipping on a hot cup of fresh coffee in the morning sun on the balcony or down in the yard is the most zen feeling, please do this when you book with Shinna. ->Shinna offered to us that we may enjoy some of her lovely fruit that is growing in her yard (pomelos, lemons, etc). -> The last day we were there, we sat with Shinna and talked about life over homemade cookies and pomelos :) -> There are a lot of little extra touches that you will notice/experience during your stay, I've mentioned a few, but don't want to give away everything! Tip: Try out the Portuguese bakery a few minutes away! (get there before 11am for a good selection) Mahalo!

  • Wow, what can I say - Shinna's place is amazing. The space is absolutely beautiful, the sun pours through ornate stained glass windows that look out onto the mountains - such a treat waking up to that. The bed was comfy, all amenities were there - so you can cook if you like - it was so clean and tidy and you can see how much thought and consideration Shinna has put into everything to ensure her guests have a great stay. It's very private, access was easy, and the outdoor shower was so good! Shinna was the host of our dreams - I don't think you could meet a nicer or cooler person than her and her family (cats and dogs included!). They were all super generous, so so kind and accommodating to all our needs and we are so lucky to have met them and to spend time with them. Thank you so much Shinna, Laxmi and Shring. I highly highly recommend staying here if you are in the North Shore, this is the coolest place i've stayed in!

  • Teresa's (Shinna) place was terrific! It is cozy and inviting. Shinna (Teresa) is an awesome host, always available to chat and answer questions or give recommendations. I would definitely recommend Shinna's place to anyone looking for a unique Hawaiian experience. You are located close to everything North Shore but in a quiet cul-de-sac neighborhood brimming with character.

  • Shinna's place is beautiful and unique. Really lovely sun filled studio overlooking the peaceful garden. We also enjoyed the outdoor shower, it's very nice in the warm weather and felt like a feature. Shinna is also a lovely host and was very hospitable.

  • Shinna’s place is tucked away in the Waialua town,it’s very beautiful with amazing views and cool breeze all day long. We enjoyed the tea/coffee that Shinna had in store for us and the chocolates for sure. She also had some ready to make food in the shelves which was helpful. It’s close to the North Shore beaches and is a fantastic place if you want explore it. She also had bikes for us which we used to go to the Haleiwa town for the food trucks. And not to forget the open shower, great experience.

  • We arrived from Waikiki and loved our comfortable retreat here! Teresa was a wonderful host, so accommodating and warm and friendly. Lots of little special touches like fresh fruit from the garden and more! I was a little worried about the outdoor toilet and outdoor shower but I set my worries aside once we got there as they were both wonderful! A great location and a great value for a comfortable stay on the North Shore!

Quaint cottage style plantation home. One of the first in Haleiwa. Shes old but holds so much character and comfort, which I know you will enjoy. Your space includes two bedrooms with one queen size bed and one double size bed. There is a shared full kitchen, bathroom, and main area. Your T.V.'s are a 46" with basic cable and Roku and a 42" smart T.V. My pup and I will be residing in my art studio out back during your stay. We will be in and out of the property but not in the main house.
  • This place is really great and Mary Beth is an awesome host, and really friendly and helpful. Me and my friends had an awesome time here, and we got to know the countryside of Hawaii! I recommend it.

  • Our stay was simply fantastic and incredibly special! My fiance and I stayed four nights at this unique North Shore home, bursting with vibrant wildlife and colorful flowers. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, we both enjoyed waking up to the sounds of birds happily chirping away as they start their new day. The neighborhood rooster, added bonus. You can't truly experience Hawaii without hearing the wild roosters early in the morning. Haha. The home has lots of soft natural light and filled with beautiful chic and vintage decor. All carefully and thoughtfully picked out, creating a calming and comforting vibe. Mary Beth went above and beyond during our stay. She was kind, caring, and so very helpful. In addition, she is an extremely talented artist! We had the pleasure of seeing her studio and the pieces she was working on. Ziggy, the adorable chihuahua, also brought tons of joy to our stay.

    Robin2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mary Beth was kind and welcoming, and the room was great for our one night stay. We enjoyed the outside porch with a tiki torch and twinkle lights. Ziggy the dog was adorable!

  • We enjoyed our stay at Mary Beth's place. It is perfectly located in the hart of island just about 30 min from the airport and anywhere you decide to explore its pretty close and convenient. Located on beautiful North shore, you will escape all the craziness and traffic of Waikiki and staying at MB's plantation style cottage you will experience the island life the way locals do. We were out exploring the island most of the time but when you are staying at Mary Beth's cottage she will spend most of the time at her Art Studio so you practically have the whole cottage to yourself, we love the sense of privacy she is offering. We definitely recommend this place! Just one thing I did overlook at the time of booking, please note the bed in the bedroom is double bed (as advertised) so we were pretty cozy close with my hubby at night. It did not matter much we had a good time regardless!

  • Mary Beth was awesome! We stayed at her place for 8 days and we had the best time. The house is super cute, clean and private. I loved the front porch, it was the perfect place to eat breakfast and drink our coffee in the morning. Mary Beth gave us lots of tips and suggestions of places to see and things to do. The location was great since we were close enough to the beach and town, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet! Everything is exactly like shown in the pictures. Also, Ziggy is the cutest! Thanks so much Mary Beth for making our trip so memorable :)

  • A lovely place to stay on the North Shore! It was clean and beautifully decorated and the location is very convenient to explore Haleiwa. Mary Beth was a great hostess, easy to communicate with, quick to reply to questions/emails before I arrived, and went over and above to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. I highly recommend a stay here!!

  • Great value provided by great hosts. We had a warm welcome from Adriana and Chuck upon arrival and then were left to ourselves for three days. It's a short, enjoyable drive to Hale'iwa and scenic to all notable North Shore points. That said, the place is delightfully tucked away in a local neighborhood, hidden from tourist tracks. We also got good advice for things to do when we went to Maui — where we spent plenty of time missing this place!

  • Had a great time at this airbnb. Perfect location, great recommendation and beautiful and clean space!

  • (URL HIDDEN)on the north shore! We very much enjoyed staying at Adriana and Chucks place – secluded/private, modern, styled beautifully, immaculate fully equipped kitchen/bathroom and a very comfortable bedroom. Essentially a "Home away from home". Greeted by 2 beautiful dogs and a friendly cat. Both Adriana and Chuck were super friendly, genuine and generous with local knowledge, beach equipment and places to check out. Exceptional communication! - always made themselves available to answer questions in person and via message. Overall a welcoming lush area, starry skies at night, quick drive to town and to some of the most magic coastline, surf breaks and hikes. Wish we lived here year round, highly recommend this oasis ! Back in a heartbeat. Mahalo!

  • Wow!! Adriana & Chuck's guest home is amazing!!! It's exactly as pictured & has everything you could possibly ever need. Chuck met us as we checked in and provided us wonderful recos of places to go on the island. They let us borrow beach gear, umbrella, cooler, etc for us to use at the beach. Their addition of an outdoor shower was one of our favorite parts. Patio is so private! Their dogs were so sweet and greeted us every morning as we woke up. This place is truly a gem. Close proximity to all restaurants & shops. Book this AirBnB now!!!!

  • This is the most special place... super close to town, easy to find, and a great new fresh space with gorgeous sun/sky light in the bathroom; high ceilings and a cozy bed space that opens up... lots of light and breeze... it was ideal. The hosts are accommodative and friendly. The back yard is private with an outdoor eating area and outdoor shower. It's divine :)

  • Fantastic place to stay on the north shore: exceptionally clean and modern house with everything you could need to base yourself on the north shore for a few days/nights.

    Lewis2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with a wonderful thoughtful host. Its a good location and the property is just as the photos say, just stunning little flat for us two to settle into after long days at the beach.

  • A beautiful place for solo or couples, my boyfriend and I planned a 10 day trip to stay all around the island and this was the perfect location for our days on the North Shore of the island. The studio itself was gorgeous, our host Adriana was very nice and I he dogs and cat were the sweetest!

  • My husband and I had a great stay at Beth's North Shore home. Beth was communicative and provided us with additional directions and photos to help us find her home. Her home is private, close to the beach (walking distance/across the street) + other places to see/go to on the North Shore! Parking is available on the street (which we had no problem with). Bonus: relaxing & watching Netflix on the provided AppleTV :) Overall, great stay! Hope to be back in the future.

    Alyssa2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beth's place was fantastic! It was a cute studio, easy to get to via car and easy to park. Was situated in a great location, being opposite a beach which homed many sea turtles, and a short distance from a beach park for swimming. Would highly recommend for singles or couples looking for a comfortable base to explore the north shore from. Would absolutely stay again.

  • We had a great stay at Beth Ann's place during our Oahu trip. It was clean, in a good location for us (we had a rental car) at about a 5 minute drive from Haleiwa town and all of the North Shore attractions. The lack of AC was tolerable, we used the ceiling fan and floor fan plus kept the door open a lot of the time with the screen door closed so a breeze could blow through. It's very breezy and there's lots of natural light. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed for our five night stay and the area was nice and quiet with a beach right across the street. Our only complaint is that the bed was pretty soft for our liking. Everything else was great!

    Kyla2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Beth was beyond lovely and incredibly accomodating; she has guests covered for everything from beach towels & chairs, to a first aid kit and Netflix. The studio is private, clean and is exactly like the pictures. The property is located less than a 1 minute walk from the beach (note: a great beach for spotting turtles! We saw about 6 from shore), a 5 minute drive from Haleiwa Town (great for food trucks and Matsumoto Shave Ice [totally worth the hype, in my opinion]), and a 20 minute drive from destinations such as Sharks Cove and Sunset Beach. We couldnt have asked for a better first Air BnB experience. Thank you, Beth!

    Judy2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beth Ann is a superhost, always close to answering our question, never too close. The studio is perfect for two people, we made our own food everyday. 100 meters to my morning swim in the Ocean. Small things that I appreciated was chairs and towels for the beach.

    Gunilla2017-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beth Ann's place was great! It was quiet and close to the beach which we enjoyed. It was also convenient to Haliewa and other N. Shore spots. Beth Ann was helpful and the place was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

  • Cozy and close to the beach. Very nice hosts!

A newly renovated self contained 300 sqft studio that is a short 5-7 mins walk from our local quiet beach. The tastefully decorated studio has modern amenities and is comfortably furnished finished with a beautiful marble floor and bathroom. Studio has its own entrance and small private garden area for some outdoors living.
Hi, This is the rear studio of a shared house, unit C. There is also a 3 bedroom house attached to the side of the studio and another studio infront of the unit. There is a separate entry way and the unit has its own small back yard/out door space. Being in the rear of the house makes gives you a private quite area. The suburb is already very quiet. The studio has a modern internet TV, Air conditioning, a small kitchen comprising of a small fridge, induction hotplate, microwave and basic kitchen items, pots/pans/culterly/plates /glasses etc. There is a table/chairs, and a water dispenser. The furnishings are a natural tropical hardwood wood bedroom set with a memory foam mattress, and closet/drawers to store your clothes in. And the unit comes with towels/sheets/blankets/bath room supplies. The bathroom is newly renovated and is white marble with a great shower and plenty of space. There is plenty of on street parking in front of the house, and it's a very safe neighborhood
  • Jason recently remodeled the room and it is really nice inside. It is also very roomy. Access is easy and location is great. Neighborhood is pretty average but safe looking. His wife Anka is super nice and speaks Japanese, too. She said they have spare surfboards if you want to surf.

    Tom2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was always prompt and super helpful with anything I needed. The place was more spacious than the pictures make out. I stayed for two weeks and didn't want to leave. Close to all of the North Shore activities, with none of the chaos. Great wifi, clean room, great mattress. Cannot praise this place enough. Thanks again bud, wish I was still there.

    Corey2017-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • I live in town and needed a quiet few days away from the hustle and bustle. Jason's place was peaceful, clean and just what I needed. Finding his spot and checking in was easy as he texted me all the info I needed. If you're looking to get out of the heart of the city I recommend this place highly, will definitely be returning!

    amanda2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place was the nicest I stayed in on the North Shore. Great internet and the desk made work very comfortable.

A perfect country getaway nestled in a gated country farm on the North Shore of Oahu. Large Kitchen, one bedroom, one Bath, walk in closet. Built in 2012 very clean and modern. Majestic mountain views overlooking old Hawaiian wetlands. Due to feed back we just added two new Couches and drapes!!! 30dayleaseopt
The property is quintessential North Shore country living - includes Cal King Bed, quiet sunsets and quiet mornings. Little to no street light pollution makes the night sky stand out. Trade winds cool the property and close proximity to the beach and Haleiwa town, make this an Ideal getaway with convince close at hand. The property has 7 mango trees, 6 large coconut palms, a large banana patch, small citrus orchard, small (but deep) tilapia pond and a small farm animal pen. Due to feed back we just added two new Couches and drapes!!!
  • This is a great location to have peace and quite and truly experience Hawaii!

    Nolan2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • My host was the best, he responded promptly and made me feel at home. We were also given permission to pick from the fruit trees in the garden. Loved the bananas. The flat is also located in a safe and private environment, with a town for most of your needs less than 5 mins away.

  • Great location close to Haleiwa and great surf spots yet felt worlds away while on the beautiful property. The dogs were friendly and hosts were responsive. Only issue was that the hot water did not always work. Would recommend staying here to someone interested in checking out the north shore.

Private 1 bedroom/ full bath and kitchen amenities. Separate from main house on end of quiet cul-de-sac with lush fruit and palm trees. Mountain & sunset views. Walk to: world famous beaches, hikes, surfing, Haleiwa shops, restaurants and bus line.
  • Great place! Clean, comfortable bed. The fruit from their trees was a really nice touch. Highly recommended.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Donna & Clyde’s place- very hospitable hosts & the location was convenient to all the sightseeing on the north shore and a quick drive to restaurants in Haleiwa.

    Jessica2018-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very accommodating and willing to share information about the area. Recommended some great hikes and allowed us to borrow their snorkel gear. Provided us with the most wonderful papaya and bananas off their trees. I would absolutely stay with them if I return to the island.

    Meagan2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • The place was accurately listed and was a great stay. Loved the fresh fruit and Macadamia nuts! Great little get away on the North Shore if you're trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. Try the bakery down the road and get the "snow puffies" they are tasty!!!

    Matthew2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Donna and Clyde greeted us as we pulled into their property. They were extremely gracious and shared with us their delicious bananas, papayas, and macadamia nuts! They had loads of great recommendations for sights and beaches around the area.

    Laura2017-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful cozy place to stay. Donna and Clyde were so friendly and helpful. What an delightful abundance of fruit they shared with us from their trees. It is such a delight to sleep with the wonderful almost jungle like bird sounds and a few roosters. So mesmerizing and relaxing. Truly miss them now that we are back on mainland. So much better staying with the "locals" than being secluded in some sterile hotel environment. This place was very convenient to driving everything north shore. Loved sitting on the Lanai in the evenings and relaxing. Thanks for such a lovely place and hospitality.

    Milton2016-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great, cozy place for two! Exactly as advertised, with super friendly hosts and the most comfortable bed ever!

    Ryan 2017-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The listing was accurate. One thing that is hard to see from the photos is that the small bathroom is right in the middle of the unit, so on one side is the bedroom and the other is the kitchenette. This was perfectly fine with us, but a bit unexpected. The unit was immaculate, bed very comfortable and bedding seemed new. A fruit plate with a wide variety of local fruits was set out upon our arrival which was a welcome treat. There was a really cute Lanai area out front where you could drink coffee or eat breakfast. Donna and Clyde had clearly put some work into the unit to make sure it had ample outlets for cell phones etc. and lots of room to hang clothes which was really convenient. Donna and Clyde were available if we had questions, but also gave us our privacy. The ad says beach walkable. We couldn't quite figure out how far of a walk it would be and it wasn't obvious where to go, but to be fair we didn't ask, so I can't comment on how close the beach is. Incredible local bakery and market a short walk away with local food options which was awesome. We were pleased with our stay and it was an economical option which was nice! Check out Cafe Haleiwa for breakfast or brunch. SOOO good!

  • This place was a dream. Situated directly on the beach with everything you could possibly want in a small residential area close to Haleiwa. We were greeted by JoAnn, who provided us with excellent suggestions of what to do in the area. I wish we could have stayed at this place longer. Cooking a bbq looking out at the sunset every night was beyond words. Honestly, would be back there in a heartbeat as I write this review from rainy England ;-)

  • Location was fabulous, easy drive to restaurants and activities, quiet neighborhood. Access to the beach literally steps from the door. My ONLY complaint is there is not air conditioning which was completely my fault for not noticing beforehand. Otherwise loved it, had a great time. Super easy to talk communicate with Joanne, and we were even able to check out later due to our flight being later. Recommend!!

  • We arrived from Auckland late in the evening, but found the apartment with no problems and the key was available as arranged so we let ourselves in and made ourselves at home, later falling asleep to the sounds of the waves just outside. The apartment was clean and equipped as promised. We had a very pleasant stay.

    Rodney2014-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and loved the house. JoAnn was so helpful and sweet and gave us lots of great suggestions of things to do. We would have liked relaxing outdoors at the house but the next door neighbor used a table saw for hours each evening so it was not peaceful.

  • The place is dirty and stinky. It was our worst airbnb on oahu. its not worth it because its too expensive for what you get. we didnt feel safe in the neighbourhood in the evening. Her roommate is cool and talked to us a lot. Andrea disnt even said hi to us. we could do later check-in. The dogs are really friendly.

  • Andrea's place is great if you're looking to save on a place to stay. The house was clean and had everything you could possibly need. Her two dogs on the property are very friendly. The house is very comfortable, I didn't even need air conditioning. A nice breeze is always coming through so I wasn't hot at all during my stay. I would stay here again if I'm ever visiting Oahu.

  • We really enjoyed our stay with Estelita and Al! They were the most hospitable and welcoming hosts we have ever encountered. Not only did they make us feel at home, they cooked for us, and shared their culture with us giving us a true aloha experience. They are a kind Christian family who are open with their beliefs. They even shared their homegrown fruit fresh from their backyard, including tropical papaya, coconuts, guava, cheese fruit, etc. We felt like family by they way they included us in meals and a part of their day. This is the place for you to stay if you seek conversation and getting to know your host. The home is located walking distance to a beautiful beach and a mountain range on the other side. You can get around nicely with the public bus or biking. They shared their own mountain bikes with us which was nice since we did not have a car. All around we had a great stay because of a great location and kind hosts!

  • I stayed two nights at Estelita's home and couldn't have wished for a better welcome in Hawaii. Estelita and her husband are so sweet, kind and generous, the perfect hosts! Will definitely be back. Thank you for everything!

    Emma2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a place to stay for the night in very last minute. We appreciated that Estelita replied to us pretty promptly to accept us for the night. Her place was decorated very lovely and clean. I appreciated that she has bunch of clean towels for guests at the bathroom. We had good time at the breakfast talking stories with her and her husband. She served us a nice Filipino breakfast. She prepared red and white rice, eggs, mangoes, Filipino sausages, coffee, tea, water, and bread. So we chose what we would like to have from such a variety of food. Great hospitality.

  • Had a wonderful stay with Estelita, her hospitality and beautiful nature was such a blessing. I would highly recommend staying in her home if you're visiting North Shore, Hawaii :)

    Janneke2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a home away from home hosted by the two nicest people you will ever meet. They made us feel like family and welcomed us with open arms and beautiful smiles. This is the epitome of Hawaii and its hospitality. Sweet Estelita and her charming husband gave us a unique experience involving flowers, friendship, picking papayas and drinking coconut milk from straws. When we were ready to relax at the beach we were provided with mats, beach umbrella, hats, and anything else we needed. They were thoughtful and went above and beyond what we expected from our hosts.

    Lisa2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Hugs and leis!! I don't think I will ever forget being so welcomed when my son and I arrived at Estelita's place!! Estelita is a marvel and we loved staying with her! On top of the pleasure of her company and her generosity, the place is wonderfully located a stone's throw from the beach and isn't too far from an absolutely killer Thai place (Opals- don't miss it!). What a great time!

    Christopher2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Eatelita's home was the perfect place for us. She is super sweet with a true spirit of Aloha. She treated us like her family and my son and I even got amazing massages. The home is just a block from the beach and is a great value. The beds are comfortable and Estelita made us a great breakfast each morning. We would recommend this place for a casual North Shore experience and a good place to base yourself out of as you explore other areas.

On recommande à 100%! Mahalo

  • Tomas was easy to stay in contact with & prompt on replies. The house was very clean & comfortable with nice natural lighting in the living room & kitchen. It's simple & charming which made me feel at home right away. Safe, quaint, family-oriented neighborhood close to town. When my boyfriend & I arrived we were greeted by Tomas & were shown the amenities. Closet space, drawers, hamper, bath towels, washing machine, full kitchen, etc. My boyfriend & I were pretty tired after a week camping so Tomas left us to ourselves to do our own thing. The bed is large & comfy. The next morning we all had a nice conversation over coffee & were told of where to go for cool places to check out as well as places to eat. I would totally recommend staying here & would have even liked to stay longer, but had some other places on the island I was planning on seeing.

  • Tomas and Lucas's is where you want to stay if you're visiting Oahu/North Shore. Perfect location, comfortable room, clean and with everything you need. Coco the puppy is definitely the highlight she is the cutest thing.

  • My brother and I rented Lucas' place for a night, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect accommodations, great location, and awesome people. Highly recommend!

  • Super beau domicile! Tres tranquille! Près de la plage! Les hôtes sont super accueillant!

    Olivier2016-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • A definite recommend and return someday! The facility was private, breezy, airy, quiet, clean, and had all the amenities and beach equipment needed. The outside shower was a pleasure at the end of a busy sandy day! Jason & Kristy were excellent hosts and provided us with a fabulous facility for our stay. Would highly recommend to stay here if you don't want the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and Waikiki. Those are great places to visit, but we preferred a location that is quiet & peaceful - just like home! Mahalo again - Jason!!

    Susan M2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jason and Kristy were awesome. The home was exactly as described and the location could not be better--a true North Shore experience if you're looking for something off the beaten track. They were also super responsive to our inquiries while at the house and their recommendations on food and things to do were spot-on. The beach near the house is also a great spot for a morning or evening stroll. Look forward to returning during the winter months when the surf is pumping. Thanks for a great stay!

  • We had such a great time staying at the beach house! With a 6 month old and a 2.5 year old we did spend a lot of time at the house. The house was so comfortable and clean and it had absolutely everything we needed. Even a blender for the babies food! Lots of toys and board games! Under the house are bikes and boards, life jackets, beach chairs. We used these almost everyday. Loved the outdoor shower! We didn't shower inside as we loved the little oasis outside. The neighborhood is quite and has a strong community feel. Kirsty and Jason were also very helpful for directions to shops. The welcome book that they put together was fantastic! Great advice for dining and things to do in the North shore. Highly recommend!

  • Nice neighborhood, and a very short walk to a private beach. Lots of space and not a lot of people. The house had lots of space, loved having the bbq and a kitchen to cook in!

    Meaghan2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Jason and Kristy were amazing at hosting us. So much was included in our stay- small amenities, coffee, tea, chocolates, and big ones- an outdoor shower to help rinse off from the beach! Their setup is perfect for small families our 2 couples looking to be close to the action. We would have lived to stay forever!

    Gretchen2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a great start to our family holiday in Hawaii. Jason and Kristy were the perfect hosts, present and there to help but in no way intrusive. The property was so well equipped and easy to navigate around, so much so it felt like home away from home. On arrival we were gifted with some local treats and great advice on the best eateries, beaches and things to see/do in the local area. There was everything a family with young children could ever need, bikes, buckets & spades, surfboards, snorkelling gear and even hula hoops The town of Waialua is sweet, close to Haleiwa town and Waimea. Both easily accessible by car or by the local bus. We definitely recommend this place if you want to truly experience the local life. Mahalo Jason & Kristy

    Alain2017-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at this quaint little cottage. It felt private, Victor was attentive if we needed anything and we were minutes from beaches, restaurants and fun. Highly recommend.

  • Everything was great and Victor was so helpful and kind

    Christina2017-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Secluded back house. You have to drive down a dirt road to access it (we were lucky and had an suv), but the location is worth it. Any minor issues we had Victor was very quick to respond.

    Sarma2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Had such a great trip! Victor's place was located in a great place and close to everything we wanted to see. Especially appreciated that we could bring our dog along on our vacay!

  • Amazing location on the North Shore! Private cottage with fruit trees surrounding the grounds :) Victor was easy to communicate with, and always just a quick text away. Great accommodation, especially for the price. Mahalo Victor, we hope to be back soon!

  • Victor was an excellent host, Always there to help or answer any questions when needed. Would love to go back again. Nice quiet neighborhood, quiet setting with private entrance.

    Ceri2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed this cottage very much as we were looking for a space that is unlike Waikiki and the crowded parts of North Shore. This means the location is a bit outside of all the popular beaches & restaurants, but with a rental car it was all very accessible. There was lots to explore on the property- we loved the fruit trees and beautiful plants surrounding the cottage, and enjoyed having starfruit, avocados & mango for breakfast during our stay. The cottage inside is minimalist but all the essentials-towels, bedding, etc -were there. Locating the back/private entrance was a challenge for us, but Victor was more than willing to help us find it. Victor was responsive to our questions and flexible & accommodating with our check in/out times, which we really appreciated!
