I don't know why it can't be added, but check out Chamonix's latest spa offering - QC Terme, behind Richard Bozon sports centre, luxury spa with all the usual facilities, and more! Beautiful views of the Mont Blanc range to be enjoyed from the gardens with sun loungers or the outside pools/Jacuzzis.

About an hour drive up the valley into Switzerland (remember your passports) via Martigny/Vallorcine. Also accessed via train from Chamonix (change at Vallorcine). Lovely mountain zoo open all year with bears, wolves etc. On-site restaurant does lovely wood fired pizzas. Large open air swimming pool carved out of rock open in the summer months - great for adventurous kids!

Lovely mountain zoo open all year with bears, wolves etc. On-site restaurant does lovely wood fired pizzas. Large open air swimming pool carved out of rock open in the summer months - great for adventurous kids!

walk up the steep path under the Brevant lift - not for the faint hearted (requires a bit of a clamber/scramble at the top - no reopes required). Chill at the top and enjoy a beer at the mid station, before getting the cable car back down.
