Free with Mont Blanc unlimited pass, once at the top, the views are stunning, lots of walks, glacier/ice caves, nice restaurant, crystal museum

To do absolutely while in Cham' ! Mer de Glace, views over the glaciers, nice day out in the mountains, easy for everyone ! A faire absolument à Chamonix, le train de la Mer de Glace !

An old tramway takes you up to 1900 metres from where you can explore ice caves and see how the famous Mer de Glace glacier has been forming over the thousands of years.Beautiful area for hiking and climbing also.Not to be missed.

Departing from Chamonix, this famous rack and pinion railway brings you to the Montenvers site at 1913 m. An imposing panorama of the Mer de Glace glacier, the Drus and the Grands Jorasses, this quaint train journey takes 20 mins through wonderful scenery to the glacier.
