The straightest way to the Summit of Mt Washington is via the Cog Railway. Only 25 minutes from the house the cog is a unique experience that will bring you to the Mt Washington Observatory in about 60 minutes. A must for anyone looking to experience Mt Washington for themselves with the sore legs.

Tramway access and hiking trails to the top during Spring Summer and Fall. The notch also has one of my favorite hikes, Lincoln and Lafayette, both 4000 footers and plan on sore legs. Echo Lake Beach is like no other setting for summer lounging and relaxing with family. Least I leave out Hiking to Lonesome lake, the Flume or the basin. And finally, there leisurely bike ride from the top to the bottom is a great way to explore the whole area in a day.
