Dog friendly beer spots

This was where I worked while I was getting through school in Tucson, it is near and dear to my heart. They have a beautiful patio, some of the best beer in Tucson, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Dogs welcome! Call ahead or check out their instagram to see if they have a food truck. They are walking distance to all other downtown eateries and bars.

Tap room (not a brewery). Both locations (Downtown and North on Oracle) have an amazing beer selection, and carry wine too. Dog friendly, relaxed environment. They have another location with a beautiful outdoor bar called Westbound.

Beautiful outdoor space in the Metal Arts Village, amazing beer selection, and very laid back spot to hang out with your dog and enjoy some brews! Not far from our place, either (perfect if you brought a bicycle- just shoot straight down Dodge).

Food scene

Very cool open-air plaza with a variety of restaurants and shops. There is something for everyone! Enjoy tacos at Seis, an artisan latte at Presta, or fine dining at Augustin. Just down the way is the Mercado Annex which I will include separately.

There are so many cool things about this spot! Built out of shipping containers for a very modern feel. All outdoors with tons of food options (my favorite is the vegan Beaut Burger), an outdoor bar at Westbound, sushi, coffee, you name it! Bring your pup and soak up the perfect Tucson weather.

Craft Cocktails

Craft cocktails in a dimly lit renovated funeral home. Quirky as hell with drinks that are to die for.

Step into a time warp at the Shelter. It's like traveling back to the 60's at this old church turned into a bar. Very close to our AirBnB as well. They've got all of your bar favorites as well as infused vodkas.

Dog friendly hikes!

There aren't many dog-friendly hikes in Tucson, unfortunately. But this is one of the places you are welcome to bring your buddy (on a leash). It's like a forest of saguaro cacti, and the perfect place to catch the sunset.

Another stunning hike for you and your pup. Depending on the water flow, you must exercise caution making your way up to the falls (it is very slippery for dogs). Not for beginners! But if you just want to take in the beautiful scenery, you can stay on the trail and take it easy.

Human only hikes

Paved and intense uphill hike in the middle of town with spectacular views from the top! Not for the faint of heart- and remember to bring your mask (it's a rule).

Another hike close to town that has great views. Easy-moderate trail. Follow it as far back as you feel like and then turn around. Tons of desert flora and fauna- hopefully you can catch the ocotillo in full bloom!

Bring your face mask :)

Arizona has lifted the state-wide mask ordinance. However, many bars and restaurants are still choosing to keep their mask rules in place for public health and safety. Bars and restaurants usually have limited capacity and seat you only with your group where you are free to remove your mask, once seated. If you happen to forget yours, don't fret- we've got you covered with a mask and hand sanitizer to take with you on your Tucson excursions.
