Sightseeing

Wonderful place to take the kids as it is a huge park and right next to the zoo. The zoo is great for strolling through to watch the elephants and let the kids run around. At the park we love walking through the Rose Garden (there is a dog park next to it). We also enjoy all the playground equipment and duck watching at the big pond.

Gates pass is a fun drive as it is a long winding road. The kids love the "tickles" over some of the hills. There are also several paths to walk/hike. Beautiful sunsets too.

Mt Lemmon is another popular place to visit. Lots of trails if you're a hiker. Our favorite place to visit during the Summer is Rose Canyon Lake. And a must stop in the Winter is "The Cookie House" at the top of the mountain (although cookies are great anytime). ;)

Park

Another fun park to spend time with the kids. There is access to the Rillito River path which is great for walking, running, or bicycling. There is also a splash pad during the Summer.

Museum

Super fun for our children. Lots of hands-on activities, science and art-related fun. Advance tickets are suggested as they are limiting guests for safety due to COVID.

Stores Nearby

If you're staying awhile there are some convenient grocery stores nearby. Walmart is just East of our home off 22nd street, Fry's Food store (Kroger) is just West off 22nd street, and Sprout's is just North off Swan and Speedway. There are also two malls off Broadway Blvd. - El Con Mall to the West is more of a strip mall with Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Ross, Marshalls, Burlington, Panda Express, Starbucks, etc. - Park Place Mall to the East is a more traditional mall with movie theater, boutiques, food court, etc. Our favorite restaurant near here is Texas Roadhouse.
