Order food from the window at this traditional "clam shack". You can walk right out onto Mayo Beach and watch the boats come in and out of Wellfleet Harbor. Bring a blanket and a bottle of wine and watch the sunset. There are picnic tables on the beach too. Food is top notch, made with love. Warning, it gets busy, but the lines move quickly. This is a hidden gem.

We have never eaten here, but it is always crowded. We recommend Pearl because guests ask about gluten free restaurants. Pearl has a full size gluten free menu. We also love the location. Wellfleet is heaven!

Sightseeing

A "must do" for every visit. Our family has been going annually for 20 years, and it never gets old. We have ALWAYS seen whales. So many whales ready to put on a show. It is a long trip of 3-4 hours, so guests should be ready with their sea legs. But the boats are "ferry" size, and the water is relatively calm. As an added bonus they serve food, wine and beer on the boats! Afterwards spend some time walking around Provincetown, and climb to Pilgrim Monument!

Shopping

If you want to walk around a traditional sea village, with unique shops and restaurants, go to Chatham. As an added bonus, they have recently opened a "shark" education center to support the research and tracking of our new Great White neighbors.
