Some local favorites!
Gainesville's favorite restaurant - a pizza joint in the heart of downtown with amazing pizza, breadsticks, salads, and more! Be sure to allow for extra time on weekends or any night with great weather as this place can get busy!

Eat at Thai is an great restaurant in a strip mall. My favorite menu item is the Massaman Curry. Check their hours before going as they have somewhat weird open and close times.

Great places in Northern Georgia within a short drive!
Dahlonega is an adorable little town a 30 minute drive north from Gainesville. Check for festivals on the weekends on the square. The Picnic Cafe is a great local lunch place on the square. Shenanigans Irish Pub, Crimson Moon and Capers are all restaurants I've eaten at and enjoyed. There are several wine tasting shops on the square as well. Be sure to swing into the Fudge Factory for a delicious treat for your drive back!
