Sightseeing

You can drive/cycle up to Fairholmes car park and go for a spectacular walk around the dams. At certain times of the year the level of the dam reduces and you can see the outline and walls of the old villages.

This is the view from Win Hill. A wonderful walk, up. Make it as easy or as hard as you like. The view is worth it whichever route you go up.

Activities

Hathersage outdoor swimming pool is one of the finest in the country. It is heated and kept very clean. The pool is approximately 30 metres long and open almost all year for the brave hearted. It only closes in electric storms and swimmers can be found swimming in the Winter with snow falling on them in the pool!.

If you don't have a bike, you can drive up to Fairholmes and rent one from here to cycle around the dams. They also have trailers to put your toddler, (or canine friend) in. Great fun
