Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". 'Silverknowes Suite' is a small, newly renovated, light and airy ground floor studio with own front door, kitchenette and ensuite. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, within 5 minutes walk to bus routes to the city centre and 10 minutes to the airport bus stop. By car, the city can be reached in 15 minutes. There are beautiful nearby walks down to the Forth River front and beach. The suite is attached to our family home but the connecting door will be kept locked ensuring your privacy.

When booking please let me know your estimated check in time. Bright room facing the waterfront in Granton Harbour, approx 3 miles north of the city centre. The place is connected by buses 9, 22, X37, 19, 16 and 17 (airport). Elevator + 1 underground car park available. Guests can use the kitchen and have your professional latte as much as you like. There are also cereal and milk. We have 2 kids (1 & 5yrs old). We also have a cat. The cat litter is in the bathroom but is kept tidy.
