Calf cabin- Unique and beautiful farmstead!

Countryside getaway! If you want to experience something unique during your trip to Iceland this little house has been repurposed as guest house. On our farm it has always been called the Calf cabin, as it was used as a small barn and a stable in the past. On the outside we preserved the old rock laying and the architecture style but mixed old and new styles on the inside. We recycled and repurposed as much material as possible and we are pleased with the outcome. Now it is a cozy little suite.

The Little Blue House - Golden Circle

You truly are in the middle of the countryside here. Surrounded by mountains, hot springs and wild horses, yet only a five minute drive from the nearest shop, gas station and restaurant. The house is located in the heart of the golden circle and is the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding nature. Geysir, Gulfoss and Thingvellir national park are very close. If you have a suitable vehicle I would strongly recommend driving the road around the lake at Thingvellir - it’s amazing.

Outside there is geothermal hot tub always on. Fully equipped kitchen, and outside BBQ. Located on the Golden Circle near Geysir. Great for outdoor hiking to amazing places and great dark spot in the winter for Northern Lights viewing. A 4x4 is important to access the house in the winter.
