Native timber railway cottage in prime location, with expansive sea views from living room, front bedroom and the big (42m2) deck. Views of the surrounding hills to the rear. Easy access to the beach. Large open plan kitchen/dining room/living room. The bach is run on a hybrid off-grid solar system. Two interior bedrooms, and large, light and airy separate third bedroom by the deck. Polished native timber floors (bedrooms all carpeted). Fully insulated. Gas hob. Fireplace/wood burner.

Seaside Rosetta cottage with beach access

Relax in casual comfort at the beach. Formerly the popular Bird's nest on Rosetta the accommodation has been modified and expanded to include a open plan lounge/kitchenette/dining space on the ground floor. Enjoy a morning coffee on the deck or amble down to the popular Rosetta cafe. The property has its own beach access so you can meander down a grassy path to a quiet beach spot away from the madding crowds to sip a glass of wine and watch a stunning sunset with a backdrop of Kapiti Island.

This one-bedroom seaside cottage is directly across the road from Paekakariki Beach and is the perfect location for those who enjoy beach walks, swims and surfing. The Escarpment track (Te Araroa trail), Whareroa Farm, surf club, and village cafes are all close by. The cottage's west-facing aspect provides great sun and incredible sunsets. The cottage is fully self-contained and has dedicated off-street parking. The owner's residence is on the same site, but both are separate and private.

It is an easy train or drive to Wellington.

Guests will need to provide their own sheets, pillow slips and towels. Blankets and duvets provided.

'Funky Retro Caboose'

The little Caboose, 9 sqm, and kitchen/bathroom, 5 sqm, on our property are a much loved get-away surrounded by native vegetation. Idyllic, but also quite rustic: you have to cross the deck to the bathroom (amazing shower!) and kitchen, whatever the weather.🙂  I teach cello and you may hear this at times, as well as plenty of birds. A 5 min stroll to Queen Elisabeth Park and the beach. Private gate and on-street-parking.

Welcome to The Beach Pod - your own 'tiny house' studio in the corner of our back garden. Outside is a large luxury stone bath in a quiet private garden setting, and there are two areas with a table and chairs to enjoy the morning and afternoon sun. We have a two night minimum stay. We also offer a guaranteed late checkout of 2pm on the day you leave.... so you can sleep-in and relax.... there is no rush to go :-)
